Cedric Cobb | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Berg played a very mature floor game throughout the event. The Mica Mountain guard balanced scoring and playmaking effectively, showing a strong understanding of when to attack and when to involve teammates. Expect Berg to take another step forward as a leader and playmaker next season.

Berg was arguably the biggest stock riser of the day for Southern Arizona prospects. Playing in the 9:15am game anywhere is tough. Not for Berg. She was in peak, midseason form. Playing with high energy, crashing the boards and knocking down clutch threes (Including the three to seal the game with 10 seconds left) Defensively she was forcing turnovers, ripping the ball away from opposing guards and taking the ball the other way for the score. This was a version of Berg we have not seen before. She has improved tremendously in all areas of her game. The floor general is ready to lead the Thunderbolts and she opened a lot of eyes today.

The lead guard for the Thunderbolts who will take on a much larger role after the departure of a heavy senior class. Berg is a skilled ball handler who looks to get her team involved. Does well with pressure and controlling the pace of the game. Takes screens and does great in the pick and roll making the pass or popping out and knocking down the three. The Thunderbolts have some good young talent coaches should be looking to add to their radar. Coaches attending Section 7 can catch Berg and the Bolts Friday at 915am on Court 13 as they take on Sahuarita in the ASEC Bracket.

Berg showed great confidence this season running the offense for the Thunderbolts. The sophomore guard showed composure and great vision this season. Berg did a great job controlling the pace of the game. She was able to get to the paint and did well making passes through traffic. Allowed plays to develop and handled pressure well. Berg continues to develop her game at a good pace staying above most in her class. She averaged 6.6 points, 2.4 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. I expect Berg to truly breakout this upcoming season where her production numbers could double.

The Sophomore found herself on the honorable mention list for what was a stacked 4A Kino region. Berg has made strides in her game over the last year and is becoming a more confident leader on the court. This season Berg averaged 6.6 points, 2.4 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 steals per game. A strong ball handler who gets her paint touches and can play through contact. Hustles and makes plays. Has a high percentage mid range and can shoot from the perimeter as well. Moves with purpose on the floor. Berg is developing into a very good prospect in the 2028 class.

saw a lot of playing time during the 2024/2025 season, and she also was playing significant minutes in clutch situations. Her stock will continue to rise as she grows and develops in a very good Mica Mt. program. She is a Combo Guard that will probably settle in as the Point Guard for the next 3 years. She is a good ball handler, she makes good decisions with the ball, and she can score when opportunities arise. She is a tough player that has a high basketball IQ, and is an extension of the coaching staff on the floor.
