A combo guard that hustles and uses her speed and quickness to her advantage on both sides of the ball. Darden is good in the open court transition game. She has good ball handling skills that allows her to make dribble moves in stride past her defenders for easy buckets. A solid passer that can also create points for her talented team off of her ability to find open teammates. Taylor works hard defensively by sprinting the floor and stopping the ball and trying to keep the offense in front of her.

Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC was showing off her crossover full speed creating some space between her and her defender to find her open teammate flashing to the basket.  She hustles back on defense making sure her opponents don’t have easy baskets in transition.  She set herself up for some open shots being ready to score it off the pass.

Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC ‘s phone has been busy this summer hearing from many college coaches and rightfully so.  She’s very quick with the ball knowing how to find the gaps and score some points whether she’s barreling her way through opponents to the basket or hitting her shot from deep.  Her aggressiveness on defense pays off with her ability to pick the pocket of her opponents to push to the other end of the court.

Prime time player for the 2028 class is Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC . She plays with an intensity that is next level. Darden was definitely one of the best defenders on the court. She knows how to defend the ball and keep her space where no one can get past her. It was fun to watch! Taylor also has several offensive moves in her repertoire. One that stood out to me was her stepback jumper. It was on point!

Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC was playing tough defense keeping her opponent within arms reach, boxing her out, and making sure she didn’t get by her driving to the basket.  She did well coming up with steals and immediately finding her open teammate flashing up the court hitting her in stride to shoot the basket.  

Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC is a ball hawk coming up with steals and doing whatever she can to gain the possession for her team.  She’s explosive getting up the court with ease whether she is handling the ball herself or finding the open lane looking for the pass.  She is constantly moving on both ends of the court making sure she’s in the perfect position to make a play showing off her already high IQ.

Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC knows how to put in the work to find the opening whether she is working her magic off the dribble or finding the gaps without the ball.  Her ability to make adjustments at the rim is fun to watch as she can make the floater or bank it off the glass.  Her shot from deep is difficult to defend, too, as she stays ready to score some points.

Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC is a very shifty guard being able to lose her opponents with her handles.  She’s quick and attacks the basket with ease, and she can pull up suddenly hitting the jumper.  Her ability to knock down shots around the perimeter shows how she can score on all levels.  On defense, she does well anticipating what her opponents are going to do jumping in front of passing lanes and blocking their path to the basket.

Taylor Darden Taylor Darden 5'8" | PG/CG South Garner | 2028 State NC has a finesse with the ball finding ways to get to the open spot on the court.  Her ball fakes moving full speed are sure to lose her defenders on the go, and she makes nice adjustments to finish at the rim.  Her knockdown shooting from around the perimeter makes her a threat all over the court.
