Makensey made the most of her time on the court by being the floor general and verbal leader. From the tip, Dillard showed high IQ on the defensive end by always being in the right position whether it was on ball defense, one pass away, or in help side. She was always in a defensive stance with her arms extended pointing at the ball and at her opponent she was guarding. It was very clear that she was also communicating with her teammates at all times letting them know where she was. That is all coaches’ dream to have a true floor leader that can demonstrate and verbally express themselves.

One of many standouts on the South Garner team Dillard finds a way to make her presence known. She hands her hands in a lot of their success as she is their lead guard on offense and defense. She has a mature approach and does not play or act like a freshman. Makensey shows true leadership skills and can be a facilitating point guard or a scoring threat.

A true leader and floor general. Makensey can set her team up in an offense or she can create her own shot. She is very good off reading the defense and attacking off high ball screens to make plays. She has a nice floater that allows her to score over bigger defenders. She also has a sidestep move from beyond the arc that allows her to get her three-point shot off.

had some tough takes to the basket not backing down from contact and making it count from the free throw line. She knew how to pick the pocket of her opponents and grab the steal. She was playing tough defense creating turnovers in many ways.
