Maia is a tenacious defender who has a high IQ. She is a true PG and has the potential to be a two-way star if she isn't already. Maia is a good driver and passer. Emerson is a versatile defender and can guard guards from half court if asked of her. Emerson had 14 in a pivotal win over Oakton in a low-scoring game. IQ and shooting are things that always translate to different teams and levels of basketball. She handled the ball a lot and made a handful of nice passes. Ava is an elite shooter and can get her own off the bounce. In the first half, she played off the ball a lot. Centreville face guarded her a lot, and even with her constant off-ball movement, it made it tough to get good looks. In the second half, she initiated almost all of Madison's offense. Ava knocked down a couple of threes, using screens off the dribble, and knocked down a handful of tough shots moving to her right. Malia is a good athlete and competes on both ends. She made a handful of key plays down the stretch of this game, and she continues to improve.
