When we recap the season in a month and look at some of the best individual seasons as a whole, [player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] of Nodaway Valley is going to be in that conversation. Eisbach is the current state leader in PPG with 33, no matter of Class or age level. She is also averaging just under 10 RPG with 9.8, as well as averaging a high number of APG at the same time. Tonight the Wolverines are going to have to tough game against a very seasoned Shenandoah High School program. This is a team with size, skilled prospects, and a good strategy overall as a system. It's going to take everything in Eisbach's arsenal if she wants her team to come out on top. This is a tough task but it's not impossible. We are talking about a D2, maybe even LM D1 prospect at the end of the day so she could take over in the blink of an eye if someone doesn't make it a priority to stop her early on.

Pella Christian is going to go on the road and take on North Mahaska on Tuesday night in the biggest game of the season for each program. The leader that I'm expecting to take over for NM is going to be [player_tooltip player_id='311368' first='Breckyn' last='Schilling']. Schilling, a D2 commit to Western Colorado, is a mismatch nightmare for most that she faces and that's going to be no different in this one. Pella Christian has solid prospects of their own so it'll be intriguing to see who steps up the most in this battle. Either way, expect a big showing out of Schilling from all over the court.

Hudson High School will defend home court advantage on Tuesday as Columbus Catholic travels into town. The PPG leader and force in the middle for the 16-6 Pirates is SF, [player_tooltip player_id='996526' first='Madison' last='Willand']. Willand is a senior Forward that leads by example. She is an explosive player next to the rim offensively and her PPG on the season displays that. She is also someone that can string together multiple stops in a row against prospects that are both smaller or bigger. Within the Pirates system, Wiland has shined this Winter and I expect a good showing in this one. If she battles in the paint per usual and the others on her team can find her, she should put together a contest to remember.

Across from [player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] and Nowaday Valley on Tuesday night will be [player_tooltip player_id='582830' first='Lynnae' last='Green'] with her Mustang program. Green's role is going to have a big impact as to if this group moves on after this evening. She will be the tallest on the floor by far and that should play into her team having a huge advantage throughout. I'm sure that the staff of the Wolverines has put together a solid game plan to shut down a prospect like this but it's all about execution. Whoever can execute better, should win. This is going to be a game with two future collegiate players on each side, if not more. It should be a fun one to watch.

My pick to win the 2A Class State Title this Winter is going to be the EBF Rockets. When you account for their prospects and what they can do out on the hardwood, you understand that they have a chance to run the table and stay undefeated throughout their season. Someone of them that I see being an X-factor on Tuesday night is [player_tooltip player_id='817706' first='Kate' last='Shafer']. We have spoken about sister [player_tooltip player_id='873148' first='Molly' last='Shafer'] on a consistent basis but someone that gets somewhat overlooked is Kate. Just like her sister, Kate has size at 6'0, a soft touch on the ball, coordinated balance, and a lot of athletic ability to compete with. When it comes to her in the 1v1 phase of the game, she thrives because of her natural skillset and height. That maybe obvious but that's just the reality of the situation. Like I said, I like EBF to win it all this year for 2A and if they do, the Shafer sisters will play a major role in that.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194714' first='Alaina' last='Gourley'] leaders her Danville team in PPG, RPG, and APG averages on the season. Gourley, a 5'7 PG, is the driving force this Winter for the Bears as they sit with a 13-8 overall record coming into their contest on Tuesday night. This is a player that not only talks the talk, she walks the walk. She is someone that leads by example with her actions on the court and that seems to motivate the others around her. As long as Gourley is having a good game, then Danville is still in it and that says a lot. Hopefully she can keep things rolling along against Louisa-Muscatine, helping her team move onto another Playoff Round later this week.
