A Quick Look at Apply Pressure Elite

Apply Pressure Elite, based out of Hays, is a among the few programs expressly working to develop Western Kansas talent. The roster for summer 2025 is very young. It includes only one incoming senior and a soon to be eighth grader.    Balthazor spots up for and shoots the three ball with a smooth release. She works with her head up looking to make the right pass working in transition. Has the ability to catch and finish on the fly in transition.     Bittel is an athletic player with good hops and solid speed. On opponent perimeter shots she actively looks for a nearby player to box out. She averaged 8.3 points, a steal and a assist in 2025. She buried a slew of three pointers, sinking 41 at a 31% clip. Bittel is a strong free throw shooter.     Last summer my colleague Adrian Maloney saw her at the I-35 Showcase. He liked how she weaved through defenders and consistently invited contact to get trips to the line. She shoots it quickly off the catch, with a little bounce and with no wasted movement.     Getz had a big year for the Bulldogs. Helping the team to a fourth place finish at the 1A Division I state tournament, she averaged 11.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and a block. Getz shot 53% from the floor and 61% from the line. She uses her solid north-south speed and big frame to get into position for scoring opportunities.     Jackson is a multi-sport athlete with good length and hops.       Molina uses traffic to shake loose and spot up for perimeter shots. Her release can be very quick off the catch and is a a threat to hit the three ball from all around the arc. As a ball handler she looks for opportunities to split defenders. She has quick hands and a nose for the ball defending one-on-one. She averaged 10.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 steals, 1.7 assists. She shot 25% from beyond the arc and 53% from the line.     Reid recently moved to Hays from Texas. A versatile, diversely talented, combo guard she has a high game IQ Reid understands how to take advantage of smaller players inside and stretch bigger players to the perimeter. Reid shoots, passes and dribbles well.     Reynolds does a god job of keeping her dribble and her head on a swivel when pressured. She also catches and pops quickly from the perimeter.     Schippers is a hustling southpaw who moves into space well to set up three point chances. From all around the perimeter she shoots the three ball quickly and with bounce.     Simmons has a solid length and spot up ability behind the arc. She has recovery shot blocking ability after getting beat on back screens and other maneuvers.     The perimeter shooter moves well into space. Off the box kick-out her release is especially quick off the catch.     Ziegler is a lengthy power forward who walls up well and has solid shot blocking abilities. She averaged 3 per game along with 6.8 points and 8.5 rebounds. Ziegler also anticipates opponent entry passes, enabling her to provide help.
