Whatcom County's Best | Prep Girls Hoops

With every single class fully updated in the state of Washington, I wanted to break down the best players by region. Here we are starting with Whatcom County.    Finley is a very well rounded player who plays all positions on the court. She is the main ball handler for the Lions but during the AAU season often plays down low for her NW Blazers team. She sets hard screens and can either pop or roll hard down the paint, having the strength to match up down low against opposing players. She easily knocks down the deep shot and her mid-range looks too. She is definitely the best player in Whatcom County.     Payton is one of the best bigs in the whole state and her ability to stretch the floor and hit the deep shot is what sets her apart from others. She runs the court in transition nicely, filling lanes and being able to finish smoothly. She can drive from the wing efficiently and has the handles to break down slower defenders. She is a big reason for the Lions success on the court.     Here is a player who does it all for her team at all times. She rebounds well, reading the ball of the rim quickly. She can score from all 3 levels, having an elite mid-range game. Fox knows how to create for her teammates too, always staying unselfish on the court. She is easily a top player in Whatcom County and will have a massive senior year next season.     Ella has stepped up the last 2 seasons to become the top option for the Lyncs on the court. She does it all, scoring from all three levels, rebounding the ball by boxing out every possession, and even dishing the rock to her teammates to get them easy looks. Her game continues to evolve and grow every year and she has proved she can play at the D2 level, at least in my eyes. Coaches should keep an eye out for her next season.
