Michigan State Tournament: 16U All-Tourney Team

One of the standout aspects of the Michigan State Tournament was the opportunity it gave every team and age group to be equally seen and evaluated. With all games played under one roof and each team guaranteed at least four matchups (many playing five), the setup allowed our Prep Girls Hoops Michigan scouting staff to provide comprehensive coverage throughout the weekend. The presence of college coaches and Midwest Recruiting Resource added to the excitement and elevated the exposure for the athletes.   The championship bracket format gave each age group a shot at taking home the ultimate prize—Prep Girls Hoops Michigan State Tournament Champion. Alivia was a standout for [program_tooltip program_id='714852' first='Ohio' last='Xtreme'] 16U at the PGH Michigan State Tournament, earning 1st Team All-Tournament honors and being named Tournament MVP. She helped lead her team to a perfect 4-0 record and the tournament championship, delivering big-time performances all weekend. Alivia impressed everyone in the gym—from scouts to college coaches and even officials—with her dominant all-around game. A true three-level scorer, she knocked down shots from deep, hit smooth mid-range jumpers, and finished with power and precision in the paint. Her team consistently fed her at the high post against zone defenses, and she delivered time and time again. With her strength, skill, and high basketball IQ, Alivia made it clear she's a player college coaches need to have on their radar.     Reese was a key piece for [program_tooltip program_id='714852' first='Ohio' last='Xtreme'] 16U, helping lead her squad to a 4-0 record and the PGH Michigan State Tournament championship. Her strong all-around play earned her a spot on the 1st Team All-Tournament list. A dynamic guard, Reese stood out with her vision in transition—consistently making the right reads and delivering pinpoint passes. She brought relentless energy on both ends, tracking down long offensive rebounds and making hustle plays that kept possessions alive. Reese knocked down multiple shots from beyond the arc, added a smooth eurostep finish and an and-1, and brought solid defensive effort all weekend.     Olivia was a standout performer for Lakeside at the PGH Michigan State Tournament, earning 1st Team All-Tournament honors and helping lead her team to a runner-up finish. A pure shooter with deep range, she was on fire from behind the arc all weekend and lit it up in the championship game, draining four triples. Olivia also rebounded exceptionally well from her guard spot, pulling down multiple offensive boards and extending possessions. She attacked the basket with purpose, drew contact, and earned several trips to the free throw line, showcasing her ability to score in a variety of ways. With her shooting touch, hustle, and all-around skill set, Olivia is definitely a prospect college coaches should have on their radar.     Emma was a key piece for Lakeside at the PGH Michigan State Tournament, earning 1st Team All-Tournament honors while helping her squad to a runner-up finish. Her length and defensive instincts made her a constant disruption—deflecting passes, altering shots, and creating turnovers. Offensively, Emma showed off her range by knocking down multiple threes, including a clutch stretch of back-to-back triples in a tight game. She's versatile enough to post up smaller defenders and skilled enough to deliver a one-handed full-court pass in transition. Her step-back three was one of the tournament's highlights, and she consistently embraced contact while finishing strong. Emma is a dynamic, fearless competitor and a name college coaches should be watching closely.     Karmea, a standout guard for [program_tooltip program_id='1250867' first='Ballers' last='Elite'], earned 1st Team All-Tournament honors at the PGH Michigan State Tournament with her explosive all-around play. The athletic lefty brought quickness, shiftiness, and control to the court, constantly putting pressure on defenders. She made sharp reads as a passer and knocked down multiple threes with confidence. Karmea also showcased her ability to finish at the rim with either hand, using her speed to blow by defenders. Defensively, she caused havoc with her quick hands—racking up steals and taking one coast to coast for an easy bucket. Her energy and skill set made her one of the most dynamic guards in the gym.     Gabrielle, a dominant post player for [program_tooltip program_id='714556' first='TC' last='Elite'], earned 1st Team All-Tournament honors at the PGH Michigan State Tournament with her impressive performance in the paint. She showed excellent footwork around the basket, creating high-percentage looks and converting tough finishes. Gabrielle was a force on the boards all weekend, grabbing rebound after rebound and controlling the glass on both ends. Defensively, she protected the rim with multiple blocks and altered countless shots. In a tight game, she came up big with a clutch offensive rebound and putback, sealing her impact as one of the most reliable interior players in the tournament.     Audrey, a standout for MBA, earned 2nd Team All-Tournament honors at the PGH Michigan State Tournament with her relentless effort and all-around contributions. She brought energy every time she hit the floor—diving for loose balls, battling for offensive rebounds, and making hustle plays that sparked her team. Audrey stayed composed under pressure, made smart passes, and attacked the basket with strength. Her active hands on defense led to key stops, proving she's a gritty, dependable guard who makes winning plays.     Mags, representing [program_tooltip program_id='952340' first='The' last='House'], earned 2nd Team All-Tournament honors at the PGH Michigan State Tournament with her sharp shooting and clutch play. A reliable threat from deep, she made defenders pay for giving her space. Mags also showed her ability to attack off the bounce, blowing by a defender for a smooth inside-hand finish. In a close game, she came up big with a timely steal and assist, and even turned heads with a chase-down block on a taller opponent—proving she's more than just a shooter.     KO, a standout point guard for Real, earned 2nd Team All-Tournament honors at the PGH Michigan State Tournament with her tough, relentless style of play. She attacked the rim with strength and control, keeping the ball protected to finish through contact. KO consistently battled for offensive rebounds, brought nonstop energy, and knocked down a couple of threes to keep defenses honest. She also showcased her awareness with a smart backdoor cut for a bucket and had active hands on defense, making her presence felt on both ends of the court.
