Olivia, a guard for Lakeside, delivered an impressive shooting performance during the MI College Tour III stop at Grand Valley State University on Saturday. She came out strong in her first game, scoring efficiently and showing advanced footwork, highlighted by a smooth step-back three from the top of the key. Her quick release made it difficult for defenders to contest, and she consistently knocked down shots throughout the game. Olivia’s confidence and ability to score from the perimeter were on full display.

Olivia was dialed in from beyond the arc again, and she frequently found the bottom of the net. During my observations, Olivia buried four corner threes, a straightaway triple, and added another wing three from the parking lot off the catch. She used a quick rip move to split defenders on a drive, crossed over to her left, then finished the layup. Olivia made skilled entry passes and dished out assists as an effective facilitator. She scored a strong and-one layup with her left and showed her toughness, popping up after a hard foul. Her length, skill, perimeter accuracy, and versatility project to a high level of college basketball. Olivia was a top performer for Lakeside Basketball Academy 16U at the PGH MI College Tour II.

Olivia, a sophomore guard for Belding, is a dynamic offensive weapon who can score from virtually anywhere on the court. Her shooting range extends well beyond the three-point line, forcing defenses to pick her up the moment she crosses half court. She’s equally dangerous attacking off the dribble, getting downhill and finishing at the basket. Olivia also crashes the boards with determination, turning missed shots into second-chance points with tough put-backs. If Belding hopes to pull off an upset, it will likely require a high-scoring, high-energy performance from her tonight.

Olivia made an immediate impact as a freshman, earning First Team All-Conference honors and proving she’s already one of the most dangerous perimeter threats in the OK Silver. She has a smooth, confident shooting stroke and can heat up quickly from long range, forcing defenses to game-plan around her. But she’s far from just a shooter — Olivia competes on the glass, attacks the rim with power, and brings relentless effort on the defensive end. Her ability to score in bunches while also contributing in multiple facets of the game makes her a cornerstone for Belding. With her confidence growing and her skill set expanding, a breakout sophomore season seems inevitable.
