Saturday Shooters 17u Dynasty Finals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Great competition among the shooting guards in the 17u division Saturday at the PGH Dynasty Finals. These 7 players caught my eye with their shooting and scoring ability. I have no stats to go by just a score book that is keep at the table and what I see. So sure I missed a few. Brooklyn got hot early in the game I watched from beyond the 3-point line then when the game was in control she became a smart PG making the right reads on offense. A player you must find in half court defense. A very smooth release on the shot that needs very little time to set up as she is ready to go on the catch. A shooter that stretches out the defense in transition as she is spotted up in the right corner ready for the kick up the court. A very complete player. An athletic guard that gives you more of an inside out game. Meaning you must respect the quick first step off the drives giving her the space and time needed to knock down the 3. She created the space for the 3 also with a quick step back move. She moves around the 3 point line always providing a kick out for the open shot. The no help off her concept created driving gaps for her teammates. This is not a first time write on Emerson. Go check out her previous articles. Impressive is how smart of a shooter she is. Meaning that she read the defense before she caught the ball on if it was a shooting situation or to drive and attack the rim. I did like the mid-range pull up. First time seeing Mya play and I really like the feel she has for the game. A shooting guard that handles the ball like a point when needed making good sound decisions.
