Brinley brought great hustle and awareness to the floor during Team 2’s games at the Prep Girls Hoops MI State Showcase. She did a nice job moving without the basketball and consistently put herself in good spots offensively. Her effort level stood out as she dove after loose balls and competed for extra possessions. Defensively, Brinley showed strong anticipation skills, reading passing lanes well and coming away with a couple of steals that helped create opportunities for her team.

Brinley had a good day at the P2W Headliners Showcase in October and had another solid outing on Sunday for Team Fever. She lulled the defense to sleep with her patient lateral dribbles, surveyed the scene, then accelerated down the open lane to the rim for a layup. Brinley crashed the glass to secure offensive rebounds and clamped down on the ball to tie it up on defense. She used a quick rip move, shifted into high gear, beat her defender off the dribble down the baseline, and finished strong off two feet.

Brinley had a solid showing at the Headliners Invitational Showcase in October and I’m excited to see her in action again on Sunday. Brinley’s all-out effort, rebounding grit, passing instincts, perimeter shooting, and hard downhill drives made her an immediate impact player for Flat Rock as a freshman.

Brinley never stops working on the court, and she contributed in all phases to help Flat Rock earn a win at the Airport Showcase. She pursued an offensive rebound, then converted a smooth reverse layup. Brinley clamped down on a ball aggressively to tie it up on defense and moved her feet quickly to cause a travel. She dribbled into a smooth straightaway three and was an effective facilitator. Brinley finished with a productive 12 points, four rebounds, and four steals for the Rams.

Brinley was an impactful player for Team Fever at the Headliners Invitational. One of her highlight plays happened when she used a shot fake in the corner, drove with a burst down the baseline, and finished a contested layup off two feet. Brinley worked hard to get into position to secure offensive rebounds and didn’t yield an inch on the defensive end. She’ll be a solid addition to the Flat Rock program.

Brinley gave Team 8 an edge with her toughness at the Freshman Showcase. She moved well laterally on defense and worked hard to keep her girl from driving to the basket. Brinley took the ball downhill with determination off the dribble to cause a foul and buried her free throw with a confident follow-through. She muscled her way into position to secure rebounds and played with physicality. Brinley is a versatile player who will be an impactful player for Flat Rock at the high school level.
