These rankings are based on watching teams play this summer and some of the players they have coming back or players that they have added.

#1 Lone Peak

The Knights have looked sharp and they have been playing with a lot of chemistry. It looks like they just have a very deep young bench that could come in and help. When you have a bench that can produce on offense and defend that is when you have a formula for success. Defensively they are led by [player_tooltip player_id='849040' first='Lave' last='Holdcraft'] a player that has next level small school potential and can really defend anyone you ask her to. [player_tooltip player_id='796745' first='Kennedy' last='Woolston'] is going to lead them on offense and she has been more aggressive taking more shots and hitting from deep beyond the 3. Then you factor in solid on the ball play from [player_tooltip player_id='1133662' first='Tatianna' last='Harness'] and Charlie Warner that come back with experience. Off the ball you. have players like [player_tooltip player_id='796473' first='Zuri' last='Nordstrom'], [player_tooltip player_id='875181' first='Huni' last='Folau'] and Maddie Pope. The two players that could be the game changers that have been able to see a substantial amount of the floor are [player_tooltip player_id='952625' first='Peyton' last='Warner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='873278' first='Jordan' last='Moeaki']. Un-like last year this year Lone Peak will start with a bullseye on their backs once again as the 6A favorite heading into the season.

#2 Westlake

Westlake has had a very impressive June and they have done all while getting a few girls to understand their roles. [player_tooltip player_id='796479' first='Avery' last='Thompson'] is going to be tough to stop as she has a mixture of speed and skill on the ball. Her ability to draw an extra defender could help them capitalize with some of their shooters. [player_tooltip player_id='1248783' first='Keira' last='Hester'] is one of the shooters that could really benefit from some simple spot up shooting. [player_tooltip player_id='861992' first='Ella' last='Seymore'] is an underrated lanky guard that can shoot but she can also work inside and be a grab and go player with some positional size as a W. Westlake also has a deep bench and if they can play their style of basketball they will be tough to stop, you can see them being one of the teams that lights up the scoreboard.

#3 Cedar Valley

Cedar Valley was impressive last year and one game in particular at Copper Hills where they let one slip through their fingers. They have relentless guards that are always in attack mode and they are playing some good downhill basketball. Impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='796818' first='Ellie' last='Larson'] as a possible double-double threat and on a team that can get up and down the floor she runs the floor very well. The guard combinations between [player_tooltip player_id='796815' first='Hadley' last='Whiting'], [player_tooltip player_id='935878' first='Daisy' last='Thayne'], [player_tooltip player_id='796817' first='Presley' last='Whiting'] and [player_tooltip player_id='827410' first='Savannah' last='Klodt'] could be too much for teams to handle. Impressive summer full of good solid offensive sets and great on-ball defense.

#4 Copper Hills

Copper Hills does not lack the size this coming season as they miht be a bit bigger and a few players that they will need to step up will be [player_tooltip player_id='1206007' first='Abby' last='Bush'] and [player_tooltip player_id='922382' first='Ella' last='Creer']. They have both shown that they could be great role players and this coming season they will need to be more in the lead player category for sure. Sella Ama is another player that could take advantage of all the departures. Copper Hills has some some solid flashes of great play. [player_tooltip player_id='1248994' first='Makayla' last='Staker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='952652' first='Riley' last='Greenwood'] will hold things down in the paint.

#5 Syracuse

Syracuse did a great job last season getting the ball to the right players and this season is not going to be any different. Get the ball to Mylee Anderson and [player_tooltip player_id='903189' first='Rachel' last='McBride']. They will need more players to step up. The person that could fit that mold that they need to step up is [player_tooltip player_id='866704' first='Olivia' last='Sorensen']. Syracuse will be tough and they have height.

#6 Mountain Ridge

Mountain Ridge will be guard heavy and they will need a lot out of [player_tooltip player_id='866703' first='Jada' last='Jangard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='805788' first='Kaylee' last='Montgomery']. Both players will be on the floor more than last season and they will need them to produce. [player_tooltip player_id='796847' first='Jessica' last='Maynard'] and [player_tooltip player_id='805789' first='Cailin' last='Kehl'] could be the players that lift them to wins as they play a solid physical style and if they could rebound and score the ball inside they will open things up for everyone else out in the perimeter.

#7 Bingham

Bingham tries to reload with a brand new squad taht is making their way up from the JV team. New comers [player_tooltip player_id='875180' first='Lanie' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='805794' first='Brizzy' last='Cottle'] join [player_tooltip player_id='796474' first='Evalyn' last='Roberts'] and [player_tooltip player_id='789053' first='Stacia' last='Peoples'] to try and make a run at a few more wins. They have a few shooters and they're length will come from [player_tooltip player_id='805797' first='Quinn' last='Porter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796469' first='Veanna' last='Pau'u']. They are going to have some growing pains as they have been playing a different style of basketball this season. They will also get help from [player_tooltip player_id='875185' first='Avery' last='Aiono'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796801' first='Hannah' last='Harmon'] both can handle the ball and make things happen on defense.

#8 Lehi

Lehi could be the sleeper team in 6A as they have some shifty guards coming back and they also have some size as well. [player_tooltip player_id='950220' first='Kelcee' last='Rasmussen'] had some moments last season where she was just hard to stop down on the blocks. If she can tap into more of that she could really use that to her advantage. [player_tooltip player_id='1142936' first='Brynlee' last='Cook'] and [player_tooltip player_id='805785' first='Hayden' last='Warren'] will be the obvious players that will need to step up but this team had a solid lower level program. Stay tuned.

#9 Davis

Davis lost one of the best players in the state as she moved to Arizona. The Darts will have a new look and they will need to lean on a few players to make it back to the top where they have been for many years. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='827408' first='Kate' last='Willard'] to step up her game this coming season. The emergence of Chloe Peery and Lydia Tarbet will be necessary. Sleeper player on the team is [player_tooltip player_id='903560' first='Kiara' last='Zwonitzer']

#10 Skyridge

Skyridge has actually showed some grit this summer and they will be tough. [player_tooltip player_id='875188' first='Elena' last='Chiara'] will likely lead the team as [player_tooltip player_id='789079' first='Ella' last='Oeser'] is likely out for the season. [player_tooltip player_id='866616' first='Arianne' last='Moeai'] is likely the player to step up as well. Lily Grant could help with some outside shooting.

These rankings are based on watching teams play this summer and some of the players they have coming back or players that they have added.
