I had the chance to catch up with some players from the Queen of the South event who are not only entering the WATCHLIST but are also on their way to Top 100 status before it's all said and done. Here are a few    Ramirez has been entertaining me with her ball handling since she was around 3 years old, so it wasn't a surprise to see her dazzling crossover to leave defenders cemented to the court. Her court vision is special; she can thread the needle in traffic from 20 feet, using either hand. And speaking of hands, watching her come away with steals got me going. She scores off the dribble, she can also drop the mid to long-range, catch and shoot included.     Simon is a "long and athletic" guard who not only finishes strongly after contact, she also finishes acrobatically. Her first step is nice, she can also dish off the dribble, yet her UPS to rebound on both ends was another plus. She did a good job defensively and scored around the basket, putbacks included     Wineglass gave me a great first look as she was another "long and athletic" guard that brought heat on both ends. Her "on the ball" pressure immediately grabbed my attention, her quick hands picked a few pockets, and she played the passing lane. She also does a good job creating her shot under pressure for the jumper, and her deceptive first step gets her past defenders to score off the dribble. Nice body control on her finishes.     Mathes is a "smooth operator" and when you combine her first and last names, you know she's going to be a HIT as well. Okay, I know it's Mathis, use your imagination, like visualizing how she goes AFTA the ball relentlessly off the rim, or how she comes from out of nowhere to block shots. She understands how to use her body on both ends and can punish defenders inside the paint, yet seeing her play the passing lane and handle the ball afterward speaks volumes about her upside.e     Williams stands above "the magic number" and has a college-ready body right now, so with that being said, she has unlimited potential because of her skillset and work ethic. She goes after rebounds, she scores around the basket, plus her interior defense was solid.     Robinson is yet another "long and athletic" guard, and her range is unlimited, which is scary, not for me, but for defenders, because she can create and elevate from NBA range. To make things more difficult, she's explosive off the dribble and finishes strongly after contact. Her "on the ball" pressure was solid, and she came away with clean steals using her quick hands.     Washington seems to be elevating her game each time I see her, and let me start with her being "heady" and understanding how to maneuver out of the trap, yes, I see everything. Her court vision across the board looked good, she also blew by defnders to score off the dribble. She dropped the mid to long range, "catch and shoot" included her "on the ball" defense was solid.d     Murray is aggressive on both ends, and her "you won't outwork me" mindset, coupled with being a couple of inches shy of "the magic number" speaks volumes to me about what's coming. She rebounds strongly on both ends, scores around the basket, putbacks included, but she also does a good job defending both inside and outside the paint.     Hunter continues to be "on the prowl" and although she falls into that #sizedontmatter group, it doesn't matter because you can't teach DESIRE, nor HEART, and seeing her apply smothering defense to help create turnovers is always something that has me smiling. Her first step sets everything up because she can blow by defenders to score or dish, or convert it into the step-back and drop the jumper
