From "long and athletic" to "power in the paint" with college-ready bodies, I saw quite a bit to get the ball rolling on Friday, here ya go

Travis took me back to eons ago when I first saw her, and watching her gradually add more to her game over the years has been nice. She falls into that "long and athletic" group who can not only defend both inside and outside the paint, she hit the boards on both ends. Her timing to block shots looked good, so did her "hands and footwork" to score

Perkins is also "long and athletic" plus she goes AFTA everything off the rim, on both ends. She showed some nice moves to score inside the paint to go along with that "hands and footwork" I enjoy seeing, but she also scored off the dribble

Crawford showed me that she's ready for a monster senior season and solidified what I thought at the TABC Showcase, so one more time, she's "long and athletic" which is the base. Came out of nowhere to block shots, yet her reaction on defense was equally impressive. She scored on putbacks, as well as off the dribble

Francis uses her frame on both ends of the court, and her skillset continues to impress me. Yeah, the hands and footwork look good but she understands the importance of keeping the ball high and getting the outlet going. Her interior defense and rebounding were solid, but seeing her score off the dribble had me smiling

Gullage is also showing what I love to see, and that's "on the court" progression. Her college-ready body is starting to send messages to defenders as well as next-level coaches as she's doing things more fluidly and efficiently, and watching her BATTLE and go AFTA the ball off the rim was a huge plus. Her lateral movement on defense looked good, and she scored inside the paint

Steele has stole the show so many times and watching her go from primarily a "back to the basket" player to a legitimate scoring threat whenever and wherever she has the ball has been a treat yet her powerful finishes after contact around the basket and off the dribble have gotten better, so has her midrange. She also did a good job defending and rebounding

Capers gave me a great first look at this type of setting, and please remember my go-to saying, "it's not what you do, it's who you do it against" and she came away looking good. Yeah, she has the college-ready frame, scored around the basket using some nice moves along with "hands and footwork" but she also rebounded and ran the floor, on both ends
