Destini McLemore Destini McLemore 5'10" | CG Bradwell Institute | 2028 State GA was a beast at the annual Florida-Georgia Showcase, making explosive plays from beginning to end. McLemore was elusive with her hesitation moves, crossovers, and her lightning-fast first step. She got to the rim at will and was totally in control every time. McLemore went left and right equally and finished with both hands as well. Her ability to make plays for teammates was also elite. She baited players into double teams and just dropped off dimes for easy buckets. Mclemore was also tough on the defensive end, pressing up on ball handlers and ripping the ball for easy layups. McLemore was arguably the top performer of the event.

McLemore is another kid who looks like a basketball player in warmups at 5’9 with a long wingspan and clearly someone who knows where the weight room is. She was an effective and efficient scorer for Bradwell in each of the games I saw her play. Destini shot it well from three, but it was her pull up game from the midrange that she looked most confident in and was very effective. McLemore has a quick release and good elevation on her shot and showed the ability to create the necessary space to get her shot off without wasting dribbles. She was decisive on the offensive end especially when she got downhill and into the paint. Destini was equally good scoring the basketball from 10 feet in showing good footwork and finishing ability at the rim. She is a strong kid who competes on the backboards and defensively, where she guarded the other team’s best player in both games I saw. She is a solid college prospect with two years to prove it, something I am more than confident that she will do.

Part of a well-oiled balanced attack, Destini contributed 7 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in Bradwell’s 58-51 region championship win over Brunswick. Against Brunswick’s zone, Destini sank a high post jumper and a baseline pull-up. She went 3-4 from the line as well. Her toughness on the glass was key as she was strong with the ball while the Pirates aggressively attacked, trying to force turnovers as they fought to climb back in the game. McLemore stepped up in the fourth quarter with five points to stave off the comeback.

Inside-out threat. Offensive game on the perimeter continues to grow. Pretty jump shot. Quick first step, able to make plays off the bounce with both hands. Has all the attributes to be a major stock riser over her next two seasons.

Destiny McLemore Destiny McLemore 5'9" | SF/SG Bradwell Institute | 2028 GA was one of the top athletes in the tournamanet. Her elevation on one of her rebounds left no doubt about her talents. McLemore hit a turn around jumper in the paint with great elevation. The young Sophomore forward has a nice smooth shot and she rebounded well from the small forward spot. McLemore also delivered some sweet passes, complements of her court vision. Defensively, she was just as active played great one on one defense, and preventing drivers from getting to the basket. McLemore was one of the top 10 2028’s Ive seen this summer.
