Over the past few days, my inbox has been flooded with parents, coaches and players themselves sending me film from events all around the country for the July live periods. Couple that with replays from livestreams on BeTheBeast and BallerTV and it's made for lots of hoops to be evaluated! After watching hours of game film, the following players caught my eye with notable performances:

Playing at the Select Summer Championship against tough competition such as the Maryland Belles and Lady Raiders, there was no shortage of offense from the G/W. Her jumper looked so smooth, popping it from the baseline and from the elbow even with the defender on her hip. Her 3-point shot was on target in a big way, sinking it from all spots around the arc. Hard work paid off moving without the ball, with sharp backdoor cuts turning into points at the basket She also did a great job reading the ball coming off the rim and pulling down rebounds, especially o-boards.

Ellie's two-way game was shining bright in Chicago at Nike Nationals. At nearly 6'0' tall, her length was problem on both sides of the ball, posing a mismatch in games vs Team Elite and Gym Rats. She floated downhill, attacked the middle-third of the court in transition and battled through contact on drives, absorbing heavy physicality and still being able to finish strong. Her spot-up 3 ball looked sharp, with a high release point that made it tough trying to close-out on. At times, the opponent looked totally deflated after her made buckets because she would sink them with a hand firmly in her line of sight. Defensively, Ellie hosted a block party. She swatted shots inside and out, maintaining verticality and body control to avoid getting the foul call. She is one that never takes a play off!

Sam was superb in Ohio and then went to Atlantic City to finish off her AAU career strong! The G/W rose to the occasion and helped the Shoreshots reach the 17U Championship Game with hot shooting and exceptional ball movement. Strong baseline rips and floaters in the lane made for pretty offense. She's also one to get hot very quickly from 3-point range once she sees one drop! Her ability to create plays from the high post was notable, scanning the floor and delivering dimes on backdoor cuts and kick-out passes to the perimeter. She also battled tough on the glass against much taller players and was still able to pull down rebounds! A total workhorse!

Katie scorched a path into Atlantic City and showed out against some really good competition, helping her squad grab three big wins. Not only did she score at a high clip, she shot the ball very efficiently in the process! Advantageous size at 5'10" allowed her to overtake smaller guards off the dribble for points in the paint. She also popped shots over them from 3 consistently. In the final game of the season against in-state foe [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers'], she rattled in three triples on her way to a game-high 23 points. Versatility on full display!

Playing in the final AAU event of her career, Abby left a great impression down by the shore. She played big girl basketball in the post, with disciplined footwork setting up scoring opportunities at the rim. Strong hook over her left shoulder and put-backs off o-boards. Her offense was complete with a few baseline jumpers and elbow pops. She also facilitated well, finding cutting teammates from the mid-high post.
