Ellie’s two-way game was shining bright in Chicago at Nike Nationals. At nearly 6’0′ tall, her length was problem on both sides of the ball, posing a mismatch in games vs Team Elite and Gym Rats. She floated downhill, attacked the middle-third of the court in transition and battled through contact on drives, absorbing heavy physicality and still being able to finish strong. Her spot-up 3 ball looked sharp, with a high release point that made it tough trying to close-out on. At times, the opponent looked totally deflated after her made buckets because she would sink them with a hand firmly in her line of sight. Defensively, Ellie hosted a block party. She swatted shots inside and out, maintaining verticality and body control to avoid getting the foul call. She is one that never takes a play off!
