Today, I'll highlight some players I haven't discussed in a while. Thousands will play varsity basketball this season, and we'll feature many of them before the season starts.

Quinn Schakenberg

The Shell Lake forward is among the most intriguing players in the state's rising sophomore class. Schakenberg is a 6'2 forward with plenty of potential. She has the size that coaches at the next level will be looking for, and had a solid first season playing small-school basketball in Northwest Wisconsin. She's from off the beaten path, where most players in the state come from, and will be a player I hope to see at some point during the high school season. There aren't many players of her size and talent in the state, regardless of class. She has the talent to be a double-double machine every time she steps on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220853' first='Paige' last='Lisowski']

The Whitehall guard is another player who may not be from around a major city in Wisconsin, but will be a player I have on a list of players I want to watch in the high school season. Lisowski is a skilled guard who can create off the dribble and be an efficient offensive hub in her first season of high school basketball. She is a confident player who scored from all three levels last season and is a fun player to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1229695' first='Ndey' last='Cham']

The La Follette forward is a talented player who has a high motor on both ends of the floor. Cham doesn't mind playing physically around the basket, and her work ethic will help her team win games over the next few seasons. Cham will be a player who generates extra possessions by flying after loose balls and rebounding on the offensive end of the floor. She hasn't even come close to her ceiling yet, but judging by how she plays, she'll figure out how to get the most out of herself.

[player_tooltip player_id='917718' first='Vonna' last='Shill']

The Pius backcourt was filled with talented seniors who are all now playing scholarship-level basketball in college. Shill is a player I expect to fill that void in the Lady Popes' backcourt. She is an athletic guard who will make plays that catch people's attention next season. Even though she's an undersized player, she'll play taller because of how athletic she is. I'm not sure what a full season of Shill in the Pius backcourt looks like, but I'm eager to find out.
