Freshman Showcase: Names to Remember, Part 1

While I was stationed on one court nearly the entire time, I did not get to see every player who came to camp. While Tateanna was exceptional at getting into the paint and making good reads, she also showed she can knock down open looks from the perimeter. She did more of the same all day long at camp. Bittner looks like she will be a high impact player in the 10th region this season and beyond. Charliegh also was able to get into the paint and finished through contact more than once over the course of the event. She carries herself with some swagger and a lot of confidence. There was a very competitive game in the afternoon where Petrowski went on a quick 7-0 run and made a couple of nice passes to help her team as well. Tarajnia was active and aggressive all day long. Whether it was 3 on 3 or 5 on 5, she was guarding people for 94 feet and chased down rebounds all over the court. She did not have the best day on offense but a lot of that comes down to not getting a ton of touches, depending on who is on the team. Regardless, I expect Tarajnia to be an impact player for Woodford this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
