On Saturday, players from around the state of Florida as well as other states descended upon Seminole Sports Academy for 4 hours to showcase their talent against their peers in their class. It's an exciting event to see the class of 2029 compete against their own to see where they truly stand at the state level. Here are evaluations on one of the teams I scouted:

Khloe is one of the shiftiest guards in this class with her hesi move and head/shot/pass fakes. She's just out there hooping and it's strictly business. Her court vision is high level and she gets a bunch of assists and buckets in the transition game. One one possesion, she hit a filthy spin move on her defender and was able to switch hands with the ball in mid-air before the shot.

Lyric was very effective when getting downhill towards the rim. She was able to collapse the defense for better looks for her teammates or even draw fouls against the other team for easy points at the free throw line. Her effort on defense and speed allowed her to get in passing lanes and disrupt any offensive flow.

Harmony was a new face for me being that she's in the panhandle, and she was one of the better 2029's in the gym. She's a lefty who is super athletic and did a fantastic job of getting to the hoop and playing off of two feet. The length on her frame and her feel for the game are going to make her one of the toughest 2029 guards in all of Florida.

Jasmine is one of the best players and shooters in Florida's 2029 class, and it showed against her peers on Saturday. I was most impressed with her ability to use the baseline on offense and give what the defense gave her. She was consistently driving the baseline and finishing at the rim, or hitting the 15 foot jumper from the baseline as well. Her passing really stuck out to me with some dump down dimes she was dropping on a talented 5x5 squad.

Anyla should be in the conversation for top 2029 the entirety of her high school career. She played very unselfish is a showcase environment and was able to drive past her defender at-will for a bucket or she could kick it out for an assist. Her ability to score it in traffic with multiple And 1's and how she protected the ball on the drive is elite for her age. AP passed it well in transition, and had one of the nastiest spin moves that was capped off with a little 10 footer off the glass as one of the best plays I saw all day.

Brooklyn showcased her handles, shot-making skills, and quickness at getting to the rim in the 3x3 portion of camp. She always kept the defense guessing with her pass fakes on offense too. Defensively, she was one of the best in the gym at playing the help side and closing out the shooter effectively.

Jaslene had the benefit of playing on a 5x5 team with very talented guards. She had some of the best size in the building as one of just a few true posts that have emerged from the 2029 class so far. Her touch in the paint was soft, and she controlled the glass on both ends using her frame and length.
