Alma will make the State Tournament this upcoming season and a big reason for that will be because of their guard-play. Someone that will return to the starting Varsity lineup, who should be a steady producer once again is [player_tooltip player_id='865335' first='Kamryn' last='Scott']. Scott is a natural pass-first PG with an ability to score when she needs to. She is a hooper that has been looked upon to set up her team's systems in the past on both sides of the ball but this Winter will be a little different. Scott will have another very talented, future D1 prospect next to her, so that will help her breathe a little bit and succeed a little more. I wouldn't be shocked if Scott puts together the best season of her life over the next 12-24 months. For now though, she will take over our #16 spot moving into the Fall.

Another team that will have a great chance to make the State Tournament will be Lincoln North Star. Not only will North Star return most of their producers from years past but they will also bring in an impressive transfer from Kansas at the SF position. The force that will get this team to go the next eight months comes to us at the PG position in [player_tooltip player_id='777563' first='Joyce' last='Johnson']. Johnson can push and Will the others around her to be the best version of themselves. Offensively, she creates at a steady rate, she can anticipate where her teammates around going to be and lead them into a bucket with a crafty assist, or she can get her own buckets at an ample rate. All in all, North Star will have several stars on roster this Winter but they will only go as far as Johnson can take them in reality.

[player_tooltip player_id='836324' first='Sophia' last='Lindsey'] might not put off the camera with crazy skill moves and fancy footwork but she does standout as an efficient play-maker for whichever team she is competing with. At Gretna East this Winter, Lindsey should be a constant once again in all of their action. She should put up respectable numbers in the Assist, Scoring, Rebounding, & Steals category with how active she is and that speaks to her endurance throughout an entire ball-game. In this Update, Lindsey moves into the Top 25 for the 2027 Class. A respectable spot moving into her Junior season with the Griffons.

One of the tallest players that the state of Nebraska has to offer is PF - [player_tooltip player_id='896148' first='Sophia' last='Varn'] of Millard South. Varn would be considered a PF compared to a Center because of her ability to move so well. This is a multiple sport athlete with a better than average athletic ability. When you pair that with her natural height, you get something special. You get someone that can be a rim protector, while also being an offensive threat on every possession down the floor. Varn has demonstrated that she has a solid base overall moving into this Winter. She has all the intangibles you want from a player + size + discipline. From a coaching perspective, what more can you ask for? In this Update, Varn moves into the Top 30 with some more work to still be done.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060158' first='Emersyn' last='Graves'] will have a shot to really make her mark this high school season at Northwest. Graves is a lengthy CG that prefers to work off of the Wing position. She can move between the 1, 2, and 3 spots currently but she really does her best at the 2 or 3. She is efficient off of the catch, she understands the spacing a little bit better, and she does a great job of knowing when to move when the rock doesn't end up coming to her in a possession. As an overall prospect, this is a player that shows a lot of future potential. She is skilled, yet fundamental and that is going to help her in the long run.
