Expert Analysis
Tony Chapman | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
A cool customer, Kam Scott was a floor general for the Supreme team in their opening weekend. She averaged 15 points per contest and was in double figures all four game with a weekend high of 18. Scott also added 22 rebounds over the four games as well. She is a player with tremendous upside in the right program and will make an NAIA school in the state happy, but we see the possibility of her trending even higher this spring and summer.

, no problem for Scott and her Alma teammates. In four games of the grueling RPAC tournament, Scott scored — wait for it — 20, 27, 24 and 21 points across the four games. Her 21 points in the championship game helped the Cardinals end a perfect season for Dundy County-Stratton, who is No. 1 in Class D-2. Scott’s aggressive style of play and ability to get to the rim is perfectly suited for a lucky Nebraska small college. And, she still has one more year to develop. Currently has season averages of 16.1 points, 3.7 assists and 3.1 steals per contest.

and you should. But, Ford did not play in last night’s 68-29 win over Southwest and Scott went off for 27 points on 12-for-16 shooting while adding five rebounds and four assists. Scott would be a GPAC steal for many coaches. The junior has season averages of 15.3 points, 3.9 steals and 3.1 assists per game.

Alma High School is in a prime position to make it back to the State Tournament in a few months. This position is because of their noteworthy guard play and the strategy in their pre-game scouting. One of the best prospects that this group has to offer is

. Scott competes at the PG spot and she runs the offense. She is talented enough on offense to be able to attack and score herself at a thorough rate but she really makes her impact with her presence. The way she can control pace of play and get everyone set up around her is a skill that will translate to the next level one day. As long as she can continue to create for those around her and she continues to be suffocating on defense then I’m sure this group will continue to have success.

demonstrated last Winter that she can be PG #1 at the next level some day. Scott is a pass-first guard with an impressive creating and facilitating abilities. She has better than average vision mixed with a crispy handle and elite knowledge of the game. She knows how to get her players in the right space with her vocal leadership and she knows how to make create something out of thin air if need be. Alma should make the State Tournament once again this Winter. They return most and they add the best 2029 in the state in

continued to impress me with her professional demeanor and attention to detail. She really bought into coach’s instruction at The Expo and it paid off in the scrimmages — the Alma High product came off of screens well to create scoring opportunities, had strong body positioning at the rim, made smart decisions with the ball and was a leader by example. Skillset aside, Scott brought great focus and coachability to Omaha.

might have been a late add for this event but she is already impacting the game in multiple ways out on the floor. We have mostly guards at this event and these guards can really play yet Scott still stands out as one of the best so far as an overall competitor. She is a true pass-first PG, that can also move off of the ball to be her team’s main scoring threat if need be. With the current matchup’s she has had, she is thriving as a passer and a producer. Just like she did last year at Alma and just like she will continue to do this upcoming Winter season within that program.

Alma will make the State Tournament this upcoming season and a big reason for that will be because of their guard-play. Someone that will return to the starting Varsity lineup, who should be a steady producer once again is

. Scott is a natural pass-first PG with an ability to score when she needs to. She is a hooper that has been looked upon to set up her team’s systems in the past on both sides of the ball but this Winter will be a little different. Scott will have another very talented, future D1 prospect next to her, so that will help her breathe a little bit and succeed a little more. I wouldn’t be shocked if Scott puts together the best season of her life over the next 12-24 months. For now though, she will take over our #16 spot moving into the Fall.

the past few days because of her play this Spring. We won’t dive too much into her play-style but if you wanted to really sum up her game – Scott is a pass-first PG, with natural instincts and a lot of skill on the hardwood. She usually possesses the ball for the majority of the game in her team’s offense but she also can pass and move away from things to open up the floor. When she gets it back in those situations, it’s go time. She understands to stay aggressive and calculated. This is one of my favorite PG’s out of the state of Nebraska, no matter age or Class level. Scott plays the game the right way, keeps it simple, and produces. Really all you can ask for from an outside perspective.

is slowing picking up interest as she gets older and her game starts to round out a little bit more evenly. Scott, a 5’7 PG, competes with an aggressive demeanor, she is someone that would be considered a pass-first PG with the ability to score herself in the blink of an eye if need be when things break down. You can really give her the ball and trust her in what she is trying to accomplish within the team’s system. she has put up great numbers for two years now at the Varsity level and her play this Spring has been delightful. She just received a college offer or two this past month on the road. Now she just has to keep on working and those should continue to come on in.
