This past weekend, Hoopsource hosted some high-level talent and thrilling performances at the YMCA in Beaverton, OR. If you had the opportunity to attend this event, then you were able to witness a preview of Oregon and Washington's top teams and female athletes for this upcoming season.
The gym was packed with some of the best coaches and trainers from around the [program_tooltip program_id='716198' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714514' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713132' first='Pacific' last='']' last='']' last=''] Northwest. Now let's recap some of the players that truly shined on the court.

Brooklyn Haywood is no stranger to the court and has had an extremely exciting offseason journey. Recently signing with the Oregon Ducks Women's Basketball team, Brooklyn is a walking highlight reel.
Any time she sets foot on the court, she's all business and brings her A game. I've been able to witness her quite a few times now during the offseason, and I think many would agree it's so fun to witness such talent grace the floor in basketball.
She's got the “IT” factor, and she's got next! I think it's fair to say her hard work and dedication have paved the way to many successes along her journey. This past weekend, Brooklyn was deep in her bag of tricks. From no-look passes to knockdown threes and rebounds that lead to put-back shots, she was exciting to watch. She carried her club team, NW Reign, to victory and continued to prove why she's truly sensational.

[player_tooltip player_id='1051361' first='Myla' last='Larry'] is a talented junior from Union High School. She's a strong combo guard that can attack the hoop and get to the rim quickly. She's tough on defense and is known for locking up opponents and stealing the rock. Whenever I watch Myla, also known as “MyMy,” she's always a thrill to witness.
This weekend she played with NW Reign, coached by well-known Matthew Conboy. Their team gave us some high-impact action on the court. She knows how to handle the ball well and shake off defenders with spin moves that open up space for her in the paint. She's a great shooter and she passed some amazing dimes to her teammates to help them win with ease. It will be an exciting season to watch her play with her fellow teammate, [player_tooltip player_id='317132' first='Brooklynn' last='Haywood']. Between the two of them, this dynamic duo is looking to be among the top front-runners for a state championship at Union.

Lailah Kiros-Van is a rising freshman out of Benson High School. She's a strong combo guard who can run the floor well and is also tenacious on defense. She can also be strong in the paint with her taller size advantage. She's hard-working and not afraid to be loud and vocal on the court to help her teammates.
This past weekend, she shined at the Hoopsource event by hustling on the court and staying aggressive on both ends of the floor. She had some impressive blocks against her opponents and some fast break layups. Lailah helped carry her team to beat both Sky View and Central Catholic. It will be exciting to watch her develop over the next few years with the rest of Benson's incredibly talented team.

Nhi Do is a rising sophomore from Benson High School. A recent transfer from McDaniel, this combo guard has truly been putting in work in the offseason. Her hard work ethic and dedication is going to carry her far with her new team. Nhi is most well-known for her incredible defense. She is so fast with her hands and feet, most players can't get past half court without Nhi picking their pockets. Her quick first step has her blowing past opponents and laying the ball up with ease. When asking any one of her coaches, "Who's your toughest defender on the court?", they will, without a doubt, say she's among the top performers.
Nhi is also known for her ability to shoot the ball well and knock down key shots down the stretch. She's quite deadly from beyond the arc and I've seen her head fake enough now to know there's really not an easy way to close out on her as a defender. Take your pick, get rained on from the outside or cooked when she blows past you on the inside. Nhi joins some incredible talent at Benson, and her 2028 class is stacked this season. It will be exciting to watch her play and compete amongst the best.

Trinity Williams is a rising freshman at Skyview High School. She's a fast athlete on the court and can get to the rim quickly. She's tough on defense and great at locking up opponents. She has great court vision and the ability to pass the ball well to her teammates.
This past weekend, she stood out for her hustle abilities as her team matched up against Benson, a tough opponent. It was a scrappy game, with players diving on the floor for loose balls and being super aggressive on defense. I witnessed a handful of fast breaks by Trinity and she was quick to get her layups. It was her determination on both ends of the court that helped her keep her team hanging on in this battle. Trinity will be an exciting player to watch in this upcoming season with Skyview.
