P2W Headliners Invitational MS All-Showcase Second Team

The Headliners Invitational Showcase ( <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/program/prepare-2-win-basketball/">[program_tooltip program_id='923712' first='Prepare' last='2 Win Basketball']</a> ) provided the ideal format for prospects to showcase their best qualities directly in front of college coaches and scouts. Most middle schoolers had never participated in a showcase environment, so it was essential to give them an amazing first experience. All of the girls received a Prep Girls Hoops write-up (many of their first) and had their picture taken. They were coached by college staff throughout the showcase and have placed themselves on our Prep Girls Hoops radar ahead of their high school careers. These girls will all be better prepared for high-stakes competitions after attending the Headliners Invitational. Among the very talented prospects, Danyle and I determined that the following six prospects were deserving of Second Team honors.    Andie is going to be a special prospect in the 2030 class, and she made that clear at the Headliners Invitational. Andie energizes teammates with her positive communication and works hard on both ends of the court. Her length, athleticism, and fundamental development as an 8th grader are impressive. Andie has the handles to create driving lanes with her dribble combinations and finishes with strength at the rim. She's a confident perimeter shooter who distributes passes to open teammates. Andie earned All-Showcase Second Team honors and will be an immediate playmaker at the high school level.     Raegan has advanced skills for her age, and she turned in an outstanding performance at the Headliners Invitational. She grabbed my attention immediately during the 3v3 segment. Raegan snagged a pass, attacked with a hard dribble, used a sudden spin move, and finished off two feet. She secured rebounds and made a great kick-out pass to an open teammate off a baseline drive. Raegan kept standing out during the games. She demonstrated excellent court vision and blew past defenders with a burst to score off the dribble. Raegan made an impact on the defensive end and buried perimeter jumpers. She earned All-Showcase Second Team honors and will be a special prospect in the Davison program.     Kensingten was one of the youngest prospects in the gym, which makes her performance at the Headliners Invitational even more impressive. She had the ball on a string, scanned the court with outstanding vision, and delivered precise passes to open teammates. Kensingten penetrated gaps off the dribble to score downhill, made the effort plays, and turned up the heat on defense. She'll be following in her big sister's footsteps as an elite prospect. Kensingten earned All-Showcase Second Team honors on Sunday.     Jordyn turned in a complete performance at the Headliners Invitational. Her advanced ball-handling control, court vision, perimeter accuracy, dribble penetration, and effective finishing made her stand out throughout the event. Jordyn knew when to distribute the ball and when to take her shots. She was efficient with her touches, a determined defender, and a productive rebounder. Jordyn has the potential to be an exceptional prospect in her class and earned All-Showcase Second Team honors.     Allyson had a polished offensive skillset and relentless hustle that made her one of the most impactful two-way prospects on the court at the Headliners Invitational. Her quick feet, endless energy, active hands, effective closeouts, and textbook technique eliminated scoring opportunities while creating turnovers. Allyson secured rebounds, pushed the tempo with her confident dribbles, and finished layups in top gear. She's going to be a phenomenal college prospect and high school playmaker.     Dakota made a strong case for being a top post prospect in her class at the Headliners Invitational. She already has fantastic footwork and finishing touch around the basket. Dakota contested shots without fouling, swatted shots away, and won individual battles for rebounds. She'll fill an area of need immediately at the high school level and is an exciting forward in the Goodrich program.
