Above the Line Hoops hosted their 2nd annual Super Scrimmage on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University this past Saturday. The event boosted several teams that will make a run for the State Tournament this season. The competition was good as many players have either committed or have received offers.

Mount St. Mary's The Lady Rockets will be in search of a scorer this season as All Time leading scorer in school history Kylie Ross has taken her talents to East Central Oklahoma. Point guard Jasmini Jessie will try to pick up that load. Aggressive downhill driver that gets to the rim. Lundyn Mcgillora is versatile 1-2 guard that can knock down the 3-pointer as well as getting to the rim. Mount will rely on defense early to create scoring opportunities until a player steps up to be the scorer. Team that is going to play hard and may catch someone later on in the season as they continue to geal.

Lindsay brings in a new coach and is in a total rebuild mode. Example of how young Lindsay is they only have one Senior on the team. 16 out of the 23 are sophomores and freshman. To myself that could make them a team that is learning could develop into a team that will sneak in a win or two as underdogs. The game I watched Abby Dodson was lighting up the 3-point line. Marisol Hernandez handled the point position while Bryleee Russell gives you that mid-range game as a small forward. A hungry squad that will play all out as they can only get better each time out.

Lexington A team that I think will continue to get better during the season when they understand Coach Couch system. They have the depth to rotate the numbers in for an up-tempo style of play. A solid core of players starting with guards Dulce Rodriguez and Hadley Wilkins control the offense while [player_tooltip player_id='1311399' first='Blayke' last='Givens'] holds down the paint. On Saturday you saw glimpses' of the game plan and once they are consistent for 32 minutes they can be a force in their conference.

McLoud The Lady Redskins have the talent and experience to make some noise in Class 4a. A team that flirted around with making the Top 0 brings back all the key players. Mcloud has a very balanced squad that has experience and skill players throughout the roster. [player_tooltip player_id='1058782' first='Claire' last='Mapira'] handles the point guard position. [player_tooltip player_id='1204972' first='Emma' last='Eslinger'] plays the off guard, Crighton is coming off a monster summer as a 3 guard. Impressive in the post was Daycie who has consistently gotten better every time I have watched her play. An experience hungry team is the best way to describe the Lady Redskins team. Look for them to make a deep run in the playoffs.

Tuttle The Lady Tigers have a new coach at the helm, but she is not a new face. Coach Ballard takes over for the Tuttle program. A very scrappy bunch that plays hard and in control. Solid squad that will make you pay for your defensive mistakes. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='523902' first='Marissa' last='Sandlin'] an experience forward is expected to lead a young squad that has great potential. [player_tooltip player_id='992458' first='Lakyn' last='Smith'] a high percentage 3-point shooter that can also handle the point position. [player_tooltip player_id='986727' first='Evalynn' last='Mitchell'] is coming a strong freshman season returns as well. Incoming freshman Presley Riddle should return in mid-season giving them another outstanding ball handler. Another young team that has 2 seniors on the roster and will continue to put things together during the season.
