Ka’Nai had a very productive showing at the DMV Live event, averaging 10.3 points per game. She plays with excellent pace and has a strong feel for the game, consistently making the right reads and playing under control. Ka’Nai is effective at creating scoring opportunities while keeping her teammates involved. Her combination of poise, basketball IQ, and steady production makes her a prospect with good upside and plenty of potential to continue developing

Ka’nai had some good moments for Team Thrill. I thought her on ball defense was solid, and she provided some buckets on the other end. She did a good job playing off two feet and elevating over smaller defenders when she had a match up advantage. Her three point shot looked good as well as she knocked down a couple in the game I watched.

Ka’nai is a multi-level collegiate scorer, done best in the mid range with a stop and pop or crossover mid fade away. Her height, allows her to shoot the three with confidence at 37% for the weekend, 35% from the field, and 85% from the line.

Defensively, she is just as effective showing she is also a two-way player converting five steals, two blocks, and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Look for Ka’nai to be top five in scoring this winter for IAAM-A Conference.
