Alyssa Lafontaine-6’0 F (Boswell) the Colorado signee was everything I thought she would be and some at the MT Rice event that I’m glad I caught during the holidays. Size, strength, and power have always been among her strong points, I wrote about her in middle school, called her a #D1Lock, when I say it, just drop the mic because she will make noise in those rocky mountains
Shamaryah Duncan-5’10 G (Waco Midway) I hadn’t seen her before last seasons All Eyez On Me Individual Showcase which is right before the TJ Showcase, both events I cover top to bottom and I was wondering why I hadn’t seen her. She immediately jumped into the Top 100 and was another MT Rice star that just jumped upwards before she heads to Wichita State
Nicole Leff-6’0 F (Cedar Park) the Texas State signee shows me something new every time I watch her and with her size and power, scoring inside and outside with ease has always been a treat to watch. Now she’s attacking from the wing and playing defense on the perimeter. She is so versatile that she can play the three, four and five positions
Alani Fuker-5’10 F (Brennan) totally impressed me when I rode to the South Texas Classic for a fall league event with Pass Tha Ball and to say she left a lasting impression is definitely an understatement. At the time, she hadn’t committed yet it wasn’t long before San Jose State won over several other schools. She’s powerful, finishes consistently and has pretty good upside left
Mykayla Malone-5’7 G (Saginaw) explosive jumper, creates her own shot under pressure, attacks the basket, you name, she finds ways to score but she also defends and I’m talking baseline to baseline. Every year I’ve watched this young lady add more to her game and the Lamar signee will make some noise early
Neveaeh Parkinson-6’3 P (John Paul II) the New Mexico State signee showed me enough last July that she wouldn’t be around waiting too long. One more time, with any type of ability, the magic number of 6’0 virtually assures you a spot at some level of the next and the more tools you have, the higher you will land and she has quite a few things going for her. Scores well in the paint, alter, and or deflects shots, rebounds on both ends, runs the floor and she too ain’t done, plenty of upside
