It will be [player_tooltip player_id='760229' first='Callie' last='Schwisow']'s Senior season at Beatrice and she has lined things up so that they will have a season to remember hopefully. Schwisow is a CG that did a little bit of everything last Winter from the Guard position. She scored at a steady rate, she defended her position better than most, she rebounded the boards whenever she saw an opportunity, and most importantly - she led by her actions all Winter long. As long as Schwisow is ready to play with that confidence that she possesses, Beatrice should be a tough opponent over the next few months for some others.

[player_tooltip player_id='946938' first='Jenna' last='Benjamin'] and Yutan High School are ready to go for their 2025-2026 high school season. Benjamin just transferred back for her Senior year after winning a State Title last season with a different program and she should make easy work of her competition in front of her. The teams and prospects that Benjamin will play against should be simple compared to what she was facing last season at Skutt Catholic. If she stays aggressive with her quick hands defensively, she should eat on that side of the ball, averaging near double-digits in the Steals department throughout the Winter. I'm sure that defense will lead into her offense, where she should be in the double-digits each game as well. If you are a Yutan fan there is a lot to like this Winter about this team. They will have a chance to take things all the way if they play their cards correctly.

I expect St. Paul High School to start their season with a win next Thursday when they tip things off against Gibbon High School. St. Paul's main producer returning from last Winter is [player_tooltip player_id='1217308' first='Aubree' last='Fitzgerald'] at the SG spot. Fitzgerald was a prospect that averaged 9.4 PPG (39%), 4.5 RPG, & 2.5 BPG in her efforts and now she is back for more for her Junior campaign. The reason that opposing teams have problems with Fitzgerald is because of her combination of length and skill. She makes some crafty plays when her team really needs it and she stands out as someone who likes to lead from the front by every definition of the phrase. As long as players like this take care of their job throughout the year, they should like the results that follow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1264636' first='Gracie' last='Williamson'] of St. Mary's High School was a force to be reckoned with last Winter as a Junior and now she is ready for some more. Williamson was the Cardinals main source of production on both sides of the ball last Winter as they finished off their year wit a 24-3 record. Williamson recorded 15 PPG, 7 RPG, and 3 SPG while shooting 50% from the floor throughout their 27 games. If this isn't complete domination, I do not know what is so as long as this group returns with the same game-plan this time around, they should be able to almost replicate their results from years prior. Williamson just has to be herself and the rest will be history.

Elkhorn South will have a fun first matchup of their season when they travel to Kearney next week to kick off their Winter. South will have a handful of prospects that will have the chance to make the game their own in different little ways but someone who should lead their pack is [player_tooltip player_id='753080' first='Mollie' last='Probasco']. Probasco competes at the CG position. She comes in right around 6'0 with a guard-like skillset over everything else. Probasco is your ideal PG, SG, or CG. She can play all three positions while production without skipping a beat as a facilitator and scorer offensively. She can also lock up defensively at all three positions and she can even step up to defend a 4 if need be. There is a lot to like out of Probasco at this point in the process. She should be solid at the college level when she gets there in two years. Especially if she continues to get better with experience.
