[player_tooltip player_id='1312152' first='Leah' last='DeJong'] of Moravia High School is a prospect that lead the way for her program with her defensive prowess in game one of the regular season. DeJong ended up finishing said contest with a several positive stats. The most shocking being that DeJong stole the rock 11 different times throughout the ball game and these steals helped lead her team onto the offensive side of the floor in transition. As a group they were able to get out and run against a slower team that couldn't keep up, which helped them secure the W. DeJong recorded these steals in all different ways. Sometimes it was off a lazy pass on the perimeter, sometimes it was a pick-pocket against a weaker defender. In the end, it was an overall impressive performance from DeJong and company. They did their thing and the final score reflected that.

Nashua-Plainfield ended up winning their first contest of the regular season by 20+ points against Janesville High School. In this event, Elizabeth Kelvin demonstrated that she is not afraid to let it fly from the outside while trying to help her team win. Kalvig finished the contest with 19 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, & 10 steals. As you can tell, this is a prospect that was flying all over the floor on both ends. She was getting ample shot attempts and defending her position at a steady rate, on and off of the ball. Nashua-Plainfield is going to win a lot of contests this Winter if they continue to play steady defense. They did across the board in this one so hopefully they can build on that following Thanksgiving break.

[player_tooltip player_id='1447987' first='Breegan' last='Lindsey'] understands where she makes her money on the hardwood. Lindsey is a 6'0 Center, that is in charge of controlling the middle of the lane defensively while being a consistent rebounder on both offense and defense. In Central Decatur's first matchup of the season Lindsey recorded a unique double-double. She recorded it with Rebounds (10) and Blocks (11). That is not something you see every day but you can bet that this type of defense led the Cardinals into some potent offense. If Lindsey somehow averages near this all Winter long it will be some sort of record. I'm not sure we can expect that exactly but I'm sure we can expect to hear her name a few more times before this Winter season comes to a close.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169794' first='Emma' last='Ryder'] is someone that we just covered in a game report earlier this week so we won't go into too much detail about her but it would be criminal to create an article like this and to not include her. Ryder is someone to note down in between the blocks. She takes up space and she has a lot of future potential. She already stands over 6'0 and she moves really well for her size. She is a three level scoring threat offensively, a strong competitor that is not afraid of contact near the bucket, and she is a smart overall prospect with discipline underneath. If Ryder progresses properly over the years she will be a Division-1 prospect. She can already play some impressive ball and she is only a Freshman at this point in the process.

Chariton has started things off at 1-1 after their first two games of the regular season with their main producer being [player_tooltip player_id='1448039' first='Payton' last='Snook'] at the CG position. Snook stands out as an attack offensively and as a lock down defender defensively. She has filled up the stat she so far this season in several positive ways. She is a leader on her team in scoring, rebounding, and defending. Her coordination and willingness to adapt in any given situation help her thrive and that's been obvious so far this Winter for anyone who has been paying attention.
