Here are the players who shined on the court.
Angeleen Mulero, Sarah Bona
Angeleen Mulero drilled three from behind the arc while scoring a game-best 20 points and Sarah Bona chipped in with 11 for third-seeded Randolph High School, who defeated No 6 St. Elizabeth, 43-37, in the first quarterfinal contest of the day.
Caitlin Barry
Caitlin Barry led the Lady Eagles (13-7) with 12 points in the defeat.
The 18-2 Lady Rams will play Chatham on Friday in the semis.
Maddie Hartnett, Shannon Donohoe
Senior guard Maddie Hartnett drained a game-high 12 points and made four steals while senior forward Shannon Donohoe contributed 11 points and grabbed a contest-best eight rebounds for the second-seeded Lady Cougars (17-4).
The duos’ impressive play, which included a stellar defensive effort, helped shut down No. 10 Morris Knolls, 51-25, in the second tilt of the day.
Kate Gehringer, Daniella Jambrina, Karin Brett
Senior Kate Gehringer enjoyed an impressive overall game, scoring contest-highs in points with 11 and pulled down seven rebounds, helping fourth-seeded Villa Walsh to a 30-21 victory over No. 5 Jefferson (17-3).
Seniors Daniella Jambrina and (#2) Karin Brett chipped in with eight and six points, respectively. Jambrina added five boards while Brett had three rebounds, four assists, and six thefts.
The Lady Vikings advanced to the Final Four to face top-seeded Montville Friday.
Bella Vito
Bella Vito went off for 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and four steals, as the Lady Mustangs (19-0) toppled eight-seeded Morristown, 47-34, to advance to the semis.
Emma Wax
Emma Wax added 14 points and five boards in the nice win for Montville.
Tara O’Neill, Aziah Adams
Tara O’Neill led No. 8 Morristown (13-7) with 13 points and Aziah Adams contributed 11 in defeat.
