To be a, “Stock-Riser”, means a few things depending on how you look at it but the most important factor in my opinion is that the prospect is continuously putting in meaningful work in their off-time and that work is translating to the floor in real game-time. In this piece, we cover five individuals out of this 2028 Class in Iowa, that have embodied what it means to be a Stock-Riser these past few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='920716' first='Bentley' last='Dill'] has been a rising star over the past year across the state of Iowa. She is a competitor with a great shooting stroke, better than average hight, and an act for being a threat on the offensive end of the floor off both the catch and dribble. If we are looking at Dill pure by her age and ability, she has D1 level-type promise. She just needs to keep evolving at this pace and who knows where she might end up. She has definitely been a killer to start her Sophomore season with Kennedy. Now she has to keep it rollin into 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='766304' first='Paige' last='Andernacht'] is holding her own and making good plays whenever she can this Winter. Andernacht is a Post for her Johnston Dragons team and a promising one at that. Whatever has been asked of her this Winter, she has accomplished and that's all you can ask from a coaching perspective. When it comes to the skill size of everything, this is someone who can do a little bit of everything. Really her only fault at this time is that she isn't 6'5 and it's not like that is her choice. When she has her opportunities underneath she converts, she rebounds on both ends at a high rate after boxing out her matchup, and she isn't afraid to get physical against someone who might be weaker or less confident. Andernacht should have some options to compete at the next level following her high school career. She just needs to continue her efficient play.

You could say that [player_tooltip player_id='1305404' first='Ella' last='Otten'] has been the most impactful transfer this season for Bishop Heelan. Otten, a 5'7 PG, had a handful of Division-1 offers coming into this season and she has been playing productively with one of the best teams out of the state of Iowa at this time so I'm sure that interest is continuing to grow. Otten is a coordinated guard with savvy-ness to her game. She is very controlled off the dribble, getting to her spots whenever she wants for a pull up jumper. She can also get downhill to the bucket in the blink of an eye or pull it out to hit a three pointer from deep. If BH pulls this thing out this Winter in the 4A Class, I'm sure Otten will have her finger prints all over it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091302' first='Sage' last='Weber'] is one of the more undercover players out of the 2028 Class but she has demonstrated that she can ball at a thorough rate. Weber has that combination of tenacity, skill, and size all coaches love to work with. At the high school level she is a mismatch nightmare for most opposing teams with her ability to move from position to position. Hopefully we will be able to see Weber's crew make it to the State Tournament in a few months. With their systematic play and their ability to adapt in real time, they should be able to make a run come Playoff time but we will see. As for Weber, there is a lot to like so far. As she continues to get older, she should be able to continue to expand her game and continue to thrive.

[player_tooltip player_id='992377' first='Evie' last='Creighton'] is another name that everyone might not know but she has some sizzle to her skill-set. Creighton is a game manager. Someone who can score the rock if need be but she is really at her best when she is running her team's system on either end of the floor. She understands pace of play and how to set up the others around her for success, which is always nice to see from a prospect at a younger age. I expect Creighton to take over and be a force on her CR - Jefferson team over the next two years. She has all the intangibles to do so, now it's all about putting the pen to the paper and getting it done.
