Offers: Columbia (NY), High Point (NC), Fairfield (CT)

The interest coming in for Dill right now are intriguing. She has several schools on the East Coast that are interested in her play-style and they have made that obvious over the last few days with their offers. Columbia, High Point, and Fairfield are programs that are known for running dynamic systems on both offense/defense and they all want Dill to be their leader in charge. She is a talented guard, who can pass and shoot the leather off the ball when it’s passed back to her so I can see where these programs are coming from. She is a natural SG but she played a lot of PG this Spring/Summer while they won a Nike National Title so I don’t think it’s crazy that she moves to the PG spot for college possibly.

“This weekend has proven to me that Bentley Dill Bentley Dill 5'7" | SG/PG CR - Kennedy | 2028 State IA could play either the 1 or the 2 at the collegiate level one day. Dill was tasked with bringing the ball down the court most of the time the last few days as they have made their run to the 16U EYBL National Championships. She has been doing some great work as the player that starts all of her team’s action, passing once she gets over half court and cutting off of that passing action to another open space away from the ball. She has been hitting shots in rotation when it’s swung back to her and that’s made the group look really good as a whole.”

“Questions were answered today about Bentley Dill Bentley Dill 5'7" | SG/PG CR - Kennedy | 2028 State IA . Dill stood out as one of her EYBL team’s top players throughout Day One of Nike EYBL Nationals today from the SG position. She scored in the boatload, she made the “right” play each time down the floor, and she did a great job producing while not having the ball in her possession with her free movement off of down screens and within transition. Anyone who wanted multiple programs compete today on the EYBL circuit saw some fun matchups and some standout performances. Today was one of those performances as a whole.”

One of the best knock down shooters from this 2028 group throughout the state is Bentley Dill from CR – Kennedy High School and AIA EYBL. Bentley has done a great job this Spring/Summer demonstrating that she is more than someone who can only shoot the ball from deep. She can also put it on the floor and get to other favorable positions for a pass or bucket at a different offensive level, she rebounds steadily, she holds her own in the defending category, and she is ALWAYS ready to compete at a high level. We have seen some great performances out of Dill this past year and I’m sure this is only the beginning. She is going to be a great addition to a roster at the collegiate level one day with her ability to hit shots. Once she gets on the floor for doing that, it’s going to be hard to pull her off because she is willing to do anything for the success of the team and that will show first hand to the coaching staff. For now though – she holds onto the #7 position in this Update.

Dill has had a promising start to her AAU season and she follows that up with a nice showing in Waukee this past weekend at their AIA facilities. Dill has great range as a SG along with a quick trigger. It doesn’t take much for her to let it fly and every time she lets it go, it loos like it could be a swish. We have seen Dill step up the last couple of high school seasons to play more of a complete guard. I think that has helped her on the road this AAU season as well. I can see more things translating and that’s what is going to bring in more collegiate attention within the process. Sometimes it can be hard to stand out on this EYBL and EYCL teams but Dill has done a great job this season of showing her worth time and time again.

 31, 7, & 3. That’s right. 31 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists in a 5 point victory. Dill lead her team in this game with her Will. She was tasked prior to the game to lead by example and she did just that. She scored the ball at a decent rate for a game-high 31, she attempted to crash the boards on both sides of the ball each possession, she hit some open teammates for assists with her creation, and she defended her own position thoroughly – never taking plays off on that side of the floor. It’s hard to be someone that is responsible to take over offensively while still being your team’s main defender. Those prospects don’t get many breaks but Dill has demonstrated that she can handle anything thrown at her so far. Now we have to see how far she will be able to take things as we move into the rest of this week of action. 

Bentley Dill Bentley Dill 5'7" | SG/PG CR - Kennedy | 2028 State IA has been a rising star over the past year across the state of Iowa. She is a competitor with a great shooting stroke, better than average hight, and an act for being a threat on the offensive end of the floor off both the catch and dribble. If we are looking at Dill pure by her age and ability, she has D1 level-type promise. She just needs to keep evolving at this pace and who knows where she might end up. She has definitely been a killer to start her Sophomore season with Kennedy. Now she has to keep it rollin into 2026. 

Bentley Dill Bentley Dill 5'7" | SG/PG CR - Kennedy | 2028 State IA is non-stop, all gas, no breaks. The super sophomore has the handles to get past virtually any defender at will and I was thoroughly impressed by a number of her acrobatic finishes in the lane. She’s got the motor and will power to play almost the entire 32 minutes, and the handles to knife through double teams with ease. Despite facing a physical Washington defense Dill was able to free herself with a lightning change of speed throughout the matchup. She also flashed a few deep threes off the dribble that wowed the crowd. Late in the game when Dill faced a hounding double-team, she showed unselfish play by finding open teammates for solid looks. I’m predicting a number of big-time post-season honors for this game-changing, crafty guard.

Dill is a modern-day combo guard capable of initiating offense or creating it. A strong handle helps in shaking defenders whether its to free up a three-point attempt or in dribble driving. With range extending well beyond the arc, Dill doesn’t need much room to get off her shot. She breaks down defenses off the bounce with either hand. Dill moves well off of the ball and receives it shot ready. With a good feel for finding open teammates when defenses collapse on her, she makes sound decisions. A good athlete with lateral quickness, Dill can lock down on opponents.

Bentley Dill Bentley Dill 5'7" | SG/PG CR - Kennedy | 2028 State IA has made a big jump from the first time she stepped onto the Varsity floor until now. This might only be one year’s time but that makes it even more impressive. Dill is growing, her shooting stroke is still top notch like it was last Winter, and she is starting to expand on her game little by little as she gets older. Kennedy is going to need Dill to really step up this Winter to be their main producer if they want to see a lot of success. Others will need to follow suit and step up also but it all starts with Dill. This is someone that holds multiple D1 offers at this time and that list of offers is only going to grow as she continues to show her worth on hardwood. Which will start this week when her team takes the floor for their first Varsity game of the 2025-2026 high school season.
