I have long known her to have a strong handle, very quick hands and good speed with the ball in transition and off the bounce. With leading scorer Heylei Davis' graduated she has taken advantage of more opportunities to impact the 6-1 Blue Aces. As the team's fourth leading scorer at 9.2 points per game she is shooting 31% from three point land and 55% from the floor. She also has a greater than 2-to-1 assists to turnover ratio and picking up just under 2 steals per game. After averaging just over 7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game last season she has vaulted up to 13.3 points, 7.9 rebounds (75% of which are offensive) and 1.9 blocks. She is shooting 53% from the field and 73% from the line. Schlessiger has solid size, great length and an ability to read plays to set up for shot blocks. What sets her apart from many other bigs is her north-south speed. Schlessiger has solid hands to catch and finish at speed.
