2026 PGs on the Rise

We have diligently evaluated 2026 prospects year-round throughout their high school careers, and the rankings have taken shape. Our list now includes 500 total prospects, and the final rankings update is just around the corner. 92% of the prospects in this class are projected to play for programs at the NAIA/D3/JUCO level. My hope is that all the girls on this list will have the opportunity to play basketball at the college level. I believe there's a kid who can help a college program at every level in these rankings. These ten combo-guards earned a higher ranking and have the potential to be excellent additions to college programs. Here are seven point guards who earned a higher ranking in our latest update.     Lauren became Norway's all-time leading scorer (boys and girls) earlier this month, passing 1,378 career points during a 49-27 win at Iron Mountain. Lauren buried three smooth triples off the catch and the dribble in the game, pouring in 24 points with six steals and four rebounds. She maintains a balanced stance to fire accurate jumpers off the dribble. Lauren's court vision, skilled passing, instincts off the ball, and perimeter accuracy stood out during the [program_tooltip program_id='928192' first='Zero' last='Star Basketball'] Showcase. She committed to UW-Oshkosh in November and is an excellent addition to their 2026 recruiting class.     Danica won the PGH x Foster Swift Sports Player of the Week for Dec. 14th-20th, becoming Owosso's all-time leading scorer (boys and girls), while also setting a single-game record for points with 42 against Durand. She won the first-ever Headliners Invitational MVP award in 2023 and has consistently performed at a high level in front of our scouts during elite camps, showcases, and on the travel circuit throughout her career. Danica shoots lights out from beyond the arc, slashes to the basket, finishes through contact, and finds open teammates. She's one of the top point guards still available in the 2026 class.     Covenant Christian is 10-0 to start the season, and Samantha has been a major part of the equation. She led the team in scoring with 10 points and added six steals during a statement win against Kent City. Samantha is a threat to hit multiple triples any given night. She keeps her head up on drives to the basket and dishes pinpoint passes to open teammates. Samantha knocks down shots consistently at the free-throw line, makes impact plays on defense, and creates space with her shifty handles.     Avery turned in an MVP performance for Allendale at the Cornerstone Holiday Showcase, and she's ending her career on a high note. Avery's a scrappy and tough defender who makes all the effort plays. She produces multiple steals a game and has an extra gear when she pushes the ball in transition. Her explosive quickness off the dribble results in layups and wide-open shots for teammates. Avery has a smooth stroke from the perimeter and makes defenders pay when they give her space.     Karlee is a weapon from beyond the arc. She ripped the nets with four triples against Midland Dow last week and is deadly off the dribble or the catch. Karlee finishes through contact, going full speed to the rim, and dishes out crisp passes to teammates. She picked up offers from Kirtland and Mid-Michigan in August. Karlee has had an outstanding career at Gaylord and will be an exciting addition to a college program with her dynamic skill set.     Haidyn is a sharpshooting guard from Petoskey who's been a staple player in the program throughout her career. She poured in four triples during a 72-30 win vs. Menominee and is a constant threat from beyond the arc. Haidyn's a scrappy defender with sharp instincts and anticipation. She uses her quick feet and hands to create steals, then pushes the ball with pace up the court. Haidyn is a two-way difference maker for the Northmen.     Cora is a point guard who makes a major impact for Pickford. She penetrates defenses by attacking hard off the dribble, distributes the ball to open teammates, and finishes at the rim off two feet. Cora fires shots confidently from three-point distance and has deep range. Hoopers in knee pads aren't scared to get on the floor, and Cora fits that mold. She sprints back in transition to limit easy scoring opportunities and makes the effort play. Cora buries free throws, fights inside to secure rebounds, handles the ball with confidence, and has outstanding court vision. She's a U.P. prospect who can be a contributor at the next level.
