This list will highlight the Top Unsigned Guards in Western, NC
- Nahndi Smith Nahndi Smith 5'7" | PG Asheville Christian | 2021 NC – 5’7” – Asheville Christian Academy – I really enjoy watching this young lady play because she creates offense from her defense. She was able to lock up some of the top guards in the NCISAA 3A on their way to the 2020 State Championship. Averaged 14.8 Pts – 3.3 Reb – 2.4 Stl – while leading the team to a 21 – 5 record. Nahndi is starting to gain interest from Division 1 colleges and will be a nice addition at the next level.
- Deante Toineeta – 5’6” – Cherokee High School – This young lady can score the basketball in many ways and has some “Swag” to her game, she can handle the ball extremely well and uses that to create space for her shot and setting up others. During her junior year she averaged 14.3 Pts – 4.4 Ast – 3.9 Reb – she is an up-tempo guard that can shoot it off the bounce or on set shots. Deante led her team to a 18 – 10 record this year before finishing up in the 3rd round of the NCHSAA 1A State Playoffs.
- Hannah Tipton – 5’7” – Mountain Heritage High School – Floor leader that can score it from the perimeter at a high level, has improved her handle and can also get down hill towards the basket in transition. Strong frame allows her to finish in traffic at the rim, finished the season with a 19.0 Pts – 7.1 Reb – 4.6 Ast – average while leading the team to a 21 – 7 record and a 3rd round berth in the 2A NCHSAA State Playoffs. The 2019 Season Tipton led her team to a 29 – 0 record and the NCHSAA 2A State Championship.
- Emily Carver – 5’11” – Enka High School – Best way to describe her game is a “Scoring Machine” she has been an offensive weapon for her school team since coming to the Varsity squad. Emily is a strong framed, athletic player that can get her shots off from any spot on the floor. During her Junior year she averaged 26.8 pts – 6.1 Reb – that adds up to a total of 751 points scored in 1 season. Enka made a deep run in the NCHSAA 3A State playoff after a 24 – 5 season before losing in the Regional Semi-Finals, next year watch out if you have this team on the schedule.
