Here are a number of prospects that showed up in Round One of the Playoffs for their Varsity team this past weekend. These performances not only look good from an individual standpoint but they were crucial in helping their team move onto the next round of the Playoffs.

Clear Lake has only played in one Playoff game so far this Post Season but in that game [player_tooltip player_id='867471' first='Ashleigh' last='Amble'] put everyone that may be spectating on notice. Amble, the 6'4 Center, recorded a triple-double with 17 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 blocks. That's right. 11 Blocks. Amble was dominant within all factors of this contest. She scored at Will near the bucket on her first attempt and off of missed shot attempts by others, she rebounded on both sides of the ball while others tried to drag her down physically, and she blocked 11 shot attempts by the opposing team in the middle of the lane. This is definitely one of our more impressive stat lines on the Winter season as a whole. Now we just have to see how much further they can take things as the Playoff's push onward.

Whenever we have seen success out of Pella Christian the past few years, we have also seen eye-opening numbers from their top producer - [player_tooltip player_id='832203' first='Rachel' last='Kacmarynski']. Kacmarynski is a CG at 5'10 with length, athleticism, and natural play-making ability on and off of the basketball. She covers a lot of ground in a hurry moving down the hardwood and she always produces in one way or another. Against Chariton on Saturday, Kacmarynski did whatever she pleased throughout. She scored (21) near the bucket with her strength and size, she out-rebounded (19) everyone else on the floor, and she led her team in total assists (5). A performance like this is nice to have but now it's onto the next opponent. The Playoffs are a marathon, not a sprint so they can't sit and dwell on it. They need to keep it moving, which I'm sure they will.

We haven't had the chance to speak about Addilynn Richter of West Central Valley prior to this but that all changes right now. Richter has led the Wildcats all Winter long with her play as a CG. She is her team's PPG and APG leader, while also bringing in 4.5 RPG as well. It's to no one's surprise that Richter was the star for her program in their first round of Playoff action. When everything was said and down, she had 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. That's a pretty well rounded stat line from the Junior. Offensively, she showed up scoring at every offensive level in the blink of an eye. Defensively, she stuck to her own matchup while understanding her team's scouting report to a T. Ultimately this led to ample success from Richter and Company as a whole as the move onto Round Two.

You would be hard pressed to find a more efficient showing in Round One of action than Lindsey Einck put together for South O'Brien High School in their win. Einck led with a game high 24 points on 9/11 shooting. She also banged in 6 of her 8 shot attempts from the charity stripe, rounding out an overall complete contest for the Forward. The story of this game was that Boyden-Hull couldn't handle the size and motor of Einck in the half court. She made several impressive effort plays early on and her team fed on this effort from there. They did have some others step up for impactful stat lines as well. Which is a good problem to have as they look to continue on their Playoff run over these next few weeks.

Manson-NW Webster notched their 6th victory of the season with a thrashing at home on Saturday evening. They started things off with a 31-3 lead moving into halftime and they never looked back from then on. Their biggest contributor was 5'10 PF - Addison McCullough. McCullough led the way with 17 & 11, mainly working inside the lane and near the paint throughout the evening. There was just no one that could match up with her size, speed, and smarts when it boiled down to it. The Cougars did a great job of making sure McCullough got adequate touches near the bucket on the offensive end early on and she did the rest from there. If someone smaller was on her, she would just go over the top for the finish. If someone was bigger, she would move around them or go through them for the basket and the foul. Whatever the defense was giving up, she took full advantage of that and in the end it paid off with a convincing W moving into the next Round of action.
