In helping them get to this moment, junior [player_tooltip player_id='1039137' first='Ava' last='Ashley'] has played at a crazy high-level all season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A game recently against Perry County highlighted Ashley's versatile and dominant offensive game. Ashley logged 23 points in this contest. In the game, she had two catch-and-shoot threes on the left wing. On one of these shots, she caught a pass from her teammate while on the move. She was able to set her feet on a moment's notice, showed no hesitation after her feet gathered, and knocked down the shot. The pairing of her feathery jumper, high-level footwork, and a good inside offensive game has proven to be effective already in her high school career. She then scored 27 points and grabbed 19 boards in the district title game. Darden' verstaility is on the defensive end as well. In achieving this, Franklin had a big individual season, including her play in the district tournament. In the championship game of the tourney against Richland, she led Cornersville in scoring with 16 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Franklin's athleticism in the paint combined with high-level moves to create space on the left and right block, making her one of the toughest guards in her district. She is a great three-point shooter off the catch. Mitchell is also not afraid to cause chaos on the defensive end. She can jump passing lanes and just does a great job in general at defending on the wing. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In a game during the regular season against East Hickman County High School, she had three steals. She has a smooth jumper that can be utilized both in the mid-range and long-range. Porter is also a good cutter. She knows how to find the open gaps in the paint and convert on these scoring chances when they present themselves.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the district tournament semi-final, her scoring skillset helped her get a game-high 31 points against Lake County.
