While many of the top players are committed to the colleges of their choice, here are five under of my under the radar players in Massachusetts in the class of 2021. All of these rising seniors still have one high school season left to continue their impactful careers.
Lily Adams, Braintree/NEX
As a sophomore, Adams showed flashes of stardom on a state championship winning squad. The 5-foot-9 guard missed all of last season with a torn ACL, but Adams could be a steal for a high-level Division 3 or Division 2 program. Adams is unafraid to attack the basket and already knows how to operate as a complimentary player. She’ll fit seamlessly into a college system.

Elizabeth Gill, Westwood/MT Elite Ducks
Like Adams, Gill missed this past season with an ACL injury, but showed her value as a junior. The 5-foot-10 wing earned 2018-19 Tri-Valley League Most Valuable Player honors averaging nearly 18 points per game. Gill will likely fit in with a high-academic Division 3 program and has potential to make an immediate impact in college.
Sydney Jones, Nobles/New England Crusaders
The definition of the modern day “3 and D” player, Jones is exactly the type of athlete college coaches look for. She’s a knockdown shooter from distance, and benefits from playing with one of the top 2021s in the country, UConn commit Carolinee Ducharme Carolinee Ducharme 6'1" | SG Noble & Greenough School | 2021 MA . The 5-foot-8 guard All-NEPSAC Class AA honors, and spearheaded a vaunted Nobles press. Jones can catch fire quickly and is lethal on catch-and-shoot 3-pointers from the wing.
Caroline Klemm, Needham/Mass Mavericks
A walking double-double in one of the state’s tougher leagues, Klemm is a solid Division 2 or low-major Division 1 prospect. Parts of her game are still raw, but the 6-foot forward is a solid passer and developing her outside game. Where Klemm is best is when operating from the elbow or in the pick and roll game, where she cuts and finishes with authority. Klemm averaged 14.2 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists per game last winter.
Kizziah Ruff, Cambridge
Ruff is the type of player, though, that everyone yells ‘shooter!’ when she catches the ball. At 5-foot-4 and not much more than a 3-point shooter, Ruff likely isn’t a scholarship level player. During the MIAA Division 1 playoffs, Ruff knocked down clutch triple after clutch triple, and certainly made a name for herself. Ruff averaged 19.5 points per game, shooting an impressive 45 percent from 3-point range this past high school season.
