Zoe Redel Zoe Redel 5'5" | PG/SG Maury | 2028 VA enters her junior season as one of the region’s better guards and the Commodores’ on-court leader. The multisport athlete makes few mistakes with the ball, bringing composure and sound decisions to the offense. Additionally, her facilitating, defense, and midrange scoring allow her to influence the game in several ways.

With those tools, Redel will have plenty of opportunities to strengthen her standing in the 2028 class. Her ability to lead while contributing on both ends makes her a must-see guard this season.

Redel is arguably the Commodores’ most college-ready player. The athletic point guard and multisport athlete relies on basketball IQ while limiting mistakes. As a pass-first guard, she keeps Maury’s offense organized and running smoothly. However, developing a reliable perimeter shot remains an important next step. Her decision-making and other intangibles already translate to the next level. Ultimately, her continued growth will be pivotal as Maury looks to become a stronger contender.

Redel clearly spent the summer developing into a pass-first point guard. A multi-sport athlete, she competes in basketball, soccer, field hockey, and swimming. Consequently, Redel has entered the discussion among the region’s best 2028 point guards. She comfortably directs the offense, creates opportunities for teammates, and scores when needed. However, developing a consistent three-point shot could elevate Redel into the Division I conversation.

Redel is a true point guard who controls the game with poise and intelligence. Additionally, the four-sport athlete plays with a high basketball IQ and exceptional discipline. Furthermore, she methodically orchestrates the offense while keeping teammates involved. Her court vision consistently creates scoring opportunities for others. Meanwhile, her mid-range game forces defenses to respect her as a scoring threat. Consequently, Redel serves as an ideal secondary option, allowing the offense to flow through her decision-making.
