May Live Period Preview: Final Watchlist

The May Live Period is here, and some events are already rolling around the country, I'd assume, but The Classic in Louisville doesn't begin until 1:20 Eastern Time. Before I leave my Airbnb down the street from the Kentucky Expo Center, we will throw a few more names at coaches to see where they may be around the country. Let's take a look at a few more names before the week gets completely consumed with grassroots basketball.    The Lomira native helped lead her Lions team to the State Tournament in her sophomore season of high school basketball. Christian is a player who can hunt her shot and score from all three levels offensively. She is a confident player who grew up with an elite talent in her household and is paving her own path for the Lions. She is a player who took a step forward this high school season and will be one to watch with her [program_tooltip program_id='713045' first='Wisconsin' last='Lakers'] team.     The Shullsburg native is playing for a new AAU program this spring and is finding her footing with a talented group. Russell is a versatile wing who can handle the ball and make things happen with the ball in her hands. However, she is playing an off-ball role with [program_tooltip program_id='1824595' first='Team' last='Prime Nation'], and we're seeing a new side of her now that she's playing with a more talented group of scholarship talent. She has all the physical tools to be a player who catches people's attention.     The [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] wing can do a little of everything on both ends of the floor. She is a versatile defender who can move her feet on the perimeter and use her physicality to compete around the basket. Offensively, one of the most reputable coaches in Wisconsin trusted her with the ball and made the right reads when she was called upon. She may not be flashy, but she is capable of playing almost any role.     The Bay Port forward has turned a corner in the last three months and is playing the best basketball I've ever seen her play. She is playing hard whenever she's on the floor and being a physical presence around the basket. She is buying into being a post player who can control the area around the basket. Thompson seems to have found the right place for her to thrive with [program_tooltip program_id='713127' first='Wisconsin' last='Legends'], and will be a name to know in her class.
