AAU Mid-Season Check In - 2029s Impressing Us

As we make it to halfway through club season, we reflect on players who have started to show us their game is on its way up.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[program_tooltip program_id='772857' first='Utah' last='Lady Prospects 3SSB']</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='952625' first='Peyton' last='Warner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1238748' first='Camryn' last='Bell'] have both been playing with Lady Prospects, and both earned spots on the tournament teams last weekend after strong performances.   Camryn's game continues to expand outside of the paint, and her soft release from the mid-range—especially around eight feet—has become much more consistent. One of the biggest changes in her game is her confidence to score when the ball touches her hands instead of immediately looking to dish it off. That added aggressiveness has started to bring in attention from higher-level programs.   Peyton already carried herself as a confident leader on the floor, but this weekend showed another level to her game. Her ability to shake defenders, get downhill, and force contact has noticeably improved, making her even tougher to contain offensively. Addison's offensive game has continued to improve, and her work ethic and nonstop hustle stand out every time she's on the floor. She recovers quickly, competes hard, and is becoming a much more complete and rounded player.   Katelynn is also earning some well-deserved top-roster minutes. Her length is becoming a real weapon, as she's learning how to use it to track down loose balls and control the glass with strong rebounds and physical play. Kalei's movement on the perimeter continues to keep her available as an option offensively, and she's started making passes that previously may not have been part of her game, showing growth in both confidence and court vision.   Lydia is developing into a true glue player who can step into whatever role her team needs. More than just supporting the action, she's becoming a real contributor and making a visible impact on the floor. She naturally applies pressure full court, stays active defensively, and always looks ready to compete. Her speed allows her to outrun opponents down the floor, and she's not afraid to challenge bigger players and pressure possessions. Beyond the nonstop energy, she also does a strong job controlling the flow of the game and keeping her team organized.   [player_tooltip player_id='1247151' first='Ellie' last='McArthur'] continued to prove why she's considered one of the top players in the state. When the offense stalls, she's comfortable taking over and creating opportunities herself. She has the ability to make things happen, shift momentum, and take control of a game when her team needs it most. She's adapting quickly and finding ways to impact the game in multiple areas. Her speed is increasing in her reaction to pressure.   [player_tooltip player_id='1239636' first='Ava' last='Clark'] has also shown noticeable growth this spring, particularly with her ability to get her hands on the ball and maintain control once she does. Her confidence and activity level continue to trend upward. Kenzie's improved ability to read the floor has made her a much more effective player, allowing her to make quicker decisions and impact the flow of the game.
