Stumm has been labeled as a true 3 and D type prospect at the SG position so I can't wait to see what she does this weekend at the 16U level with her [program_tooltip program_id='1308446' first='Over' last='The Edge'] AAU program. Whenever you have a prospect at 5'10, who moves effortlessly off of the basketball, you might have a killer on the hardwood. Someone that can shoot over most matchups put in front of her at the high school level while also being able to have her game translate to the next level eventually within the next few years. Along with being able to shoot over smaller matchups, Stumm can also switch defensively between a few of the Guard positions on the outside with her lateral quickness. She isn't a liability on the switch and that's what really makes her standout as a well-rounded hooper right now. This OTE team looks STACKED with talent out of Illinois so it's definitely going to be a group we keep a close eye on this weekend.

We have not seen too much out of [player_tooltip player_id='1223155' first='Zyahnn' last='Howell'] this last season but she is a player coming out of the state of Iowa, competing on a team out of the city of Chicago in Example Sports. Howell has had size and skill since she was a young age. She stands over 6'1 and when she has time + space she can let it fly from deep at a very consistent rate comparatively. She is skilled enough to be able to put the rock on the floor and get to the bucket at a steady rate whenever she is over-played for a finish on either side of the hoop. She mainly competes out of the SF spot as it's most natural but she can also move to the 3 if needed. This weekend Howell will be doing her thing on the Example Sports 16U GUAA team. If they play their hands correctly and find Howell is ideal situations, she should thrive with some consistent production.

Lightning in a bottle. Level-headed. A next level prospect. These are a few of the terms and phrases use to describe [player_tooltip player_id='1243323' first='Sophia' last='Calhoun'] of Loyola Academy and OTE Hoops 16U. Calhoun, the #4 rated 2029 in Illinois, is a fire starter when she competes. She is a three level scoring threat as a CG and she is the type to make you jump out of your seat during a possession or two with an electric play. Offensively, she can handle and manipulate the defense in several different ways as she attacks her matchup, leading to buckets in the middle of the defense or to a crispy assist to an open teammate. Defensively, she stays active. She beats her individual matchup to the spot most of the time and she is very good at recovering if she is ever behind. Like I said above, this OTE 16U group is loaded from the looks of it and I can't wait to see how they perform throughout.

[player_tooltip player_id='909489' first='Alaina' last='Dreckmeier'] was a standout last Spring at this event for Example Academy 15U GUAA team and I have a feeling she will be a standout once again this time around as she competes for the same program but at the 16U level now. Dreckmeier is a solid overall prospect, that can change the outcome of a game because of her defense. She is sound on offense but when she is getting her hands on deflections and causing steals, she is at her best. I think the game I stopped in for last Spring she recorded 8-10 steals in her team's victory. She was the clear star in that contest and she has that potential to do the same this time around over the next few days.

I have not seen Sidney Standiford or the Indiana Prospects compete over the last couple of seasons but I'm excited to see what they put together this weekend around the city. Standiford comes in as a 6'0 Forward. She has better than average coordination for her size, she has balanced coordination with her feet, and she has a soft touch near the rim when the ball is in her possession. It looks like during High School season that Standiford competed with won most of their games and they have a lot of size while doing so. I'm hoping to see some of that translate to the AAU scene this weekend. This group and the player have all the ability do to so. Now it's just about making it happen.
