Here we check in on five prospects out of the 2030 Class prior to everyone stepping onto the high school floor this Fall. Each player listed below has proven that they a better than most others throughout their Class and they are sure to be notables for their high school's Varsity team at some point within the near future.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

Danler will be a star prospect as Assumption out of the Quad Cities this Winter for her Freshman season of High School ball. I would assume that this is someone that will see the Varsity floor right away. She is a lengthy SG at 5'10, who has a great feel for the game already. This Spring she has put together impressive AAU showings on the road and if that has been any indication of what is to come, she is going to be just fine stepping onto the Varsity floor in a few short couple of months. As long as she can build on her weakness over time and work out her game to be played on both the right and left side of the court, than she should be someone we talk about for years to come.

Audra Meyer is considered the #1 overall prospect in the 2030 Class by many throughout the state of Iowa but this Class is loaded so it's definitely going to be an interesting conversation once we get there this Winter. Meyer is a 5'11 SF/CG with athletic ability better than most, physicality, coordination, and a soft touch on either side of the basket offensively. She can work with her back to the basket and go through her competition or she is skilled enough to go around them with counter moves going every which way. She is very good at staying disciplined on defense while being able to switch onto several different positions if need be. We don't rank any Classes until this compete on the high school floor so I'm not sure why our system has Meyer as the #2 SF/CG. That is not accurate so please ignore. This Spring she has been playing like the #1 player of this Class though. She just needs to keep it up.

We have seen offensive ability that Bailey Joens brings to the hardwood this Spring while she is playing up with the 15U AIA EYBL program on the road. Joens is a knock down shooter from any range and she has some situational awareness to pair with that. She can put the ball on the floor and get to her spots or all the way to the rack if she is overplayed and she always knows where to space too when one of her fellow teammates is looking to create themselves. Joens is going to be a staple at her high school this Fall. She should be one of her team's best players right off the bat and I'm sure she is going to produce. Now we will just have to wait and see how good she gets before committing to the D1 level someday.

I am hoping that Delaney Joens is going to come onto the Xavier High School squad and show her worth right away as a Forward. Joens comes into high school at over 6'1 with some pure ability on both sides of the ball. She isn't too fancy or going to kill you with tricky moves. She is the type to beat you with fundamentals and hardwood. She is an adequate scorer of the ball at all levels, she defends the middle at an efficient rate, she rebounds, and she communicates well with those around her when there is screening actions taking place on the perimeter. Xavier is a program built on fundamentals so this is a match made in heaven, per se. As long as Joens can find her niche early on, she should see some time in some important spots before you know it. This Spring on the road she has been a hooper that has showed glimpses of some real promise. Hopefully she can use that momentum and ride it into a Freshman year to remember coming up.

It might be a slow come up but it won't shock me at all if Lauren Huber becomes a knock down SG/CG, just like her older sister is at the D1 level currently. Huber possesses natural ability. She is a hard working player, that is dedicated to getting better in the game of basketball every time she takes the court and that is going to lead her places at the end of the day. I could see Huber getting some JV minutes as a Freshman, along with some Varsity practice time. They will have a lot of turnover from year's past so there will be some opportunities from then looks of it but Huber is going to have to show what she can do. After she gets some experience under her belt, I think many will realize what she can do for a winning program such as Mount Vernon.
