When a player turns out to be really good by then end of their high school career, it’s never that big of a shock to those who have been paying attention. The way that Lauren plays is calm, cool, and collected. She has a good feel at shooting the ball from deep off the catch from every angle and distance but she also fairly good at getting to convert near the rim on either block. She works ridiculously hard on defense to stick onto her matchup and she always executes the team game-plan that is set into place prior. From an evaluation standpoint – there is a lot to like about LH. She is going to be a name that is known throughout Mount Vernon over the next few years if she plays her cards right.

It might be a slow come up but it won’t shock me at all if Lauren Huber becomes a knock down SG/CG, just like her older sister is at the D1 level currently. Huber possesses natural ability. She is a hard working player, that is dedicated to getting better in the game of basketball every time she takes the court and that is going to lead her places at the end of the day. I could see Huber getting some JV minutes as a Freshman, along with some Varsity practice time. They will have a lot of turnover from year’s past so there will be some opportunities from then looks of it but Huber is going to have to show what she can do. After she gets some experience under her belt, I think many will realize what she can do for a winning program such as Mount Vernon.

With the right guidance, she should be able to take over for the Mustangs when she finally gets to the high school level.
