Wagendorf is a guard I had heard a lot of positive things about, so I was looking forward to evaluating her at the showcase. She lived up to the hype, showing the ability to be a dynamic scorer while controlling the pace and flow of the games. Her elite handle allowed her to create separation and get by defenders for lay ups. She also stood out as a disciplined, coachable player. Wagendorf has everything to become the guard of the future for West De Pere.

Morris doesn't get enough credit for the physicality and toughness she brings defensively. She has a nose for the basketball and consistently finds herself involved in the action from deflections, loose balls, rebounds you name it. Her activity on both ends create extra opportunities, and she made the most of them, scoring double figures each game. Morris is an aggressive player who can be extremely difficult to contain without bringing help.

I always look forward to evaluating Gjorgjiev because she brings something different everytime she steps on the floor. The Reedsburg prospect always shows flashes of her upside with plays that highlight her feel for the game. During the showcase, her hustle and IQ stood out on both ends, making an impact for her team. Gjorgjiev is an exciting prospect that makes momentum changing plays.

Rutzen is the ultimate player, she shined in the 3 on 3 games by getting to the basket. That stellar play transitioned into the full court games where she was very good on the defensive side of things. I will keep an eye on Rutzen to see how her first high school season goes.
