Hodde set very timely, well-placed screens and did a really nice job walking her defender up the line before rolling which created space for herself and opening up quality scoring opportunities. Showed a good understanding of how to use angles and timing to make her screens effective. She also showed the ability to handle the ball on the perimeter and also showcased a perimeter shooting range.

Anderson shows a good understanding of how to make effective interior passes and consistently keeps her head up to facilitate for teammates. Does a nice job reading the floor and finding opportunities to deliver the ball inside. Her high-arching shot gives her a soft touch and a good release point over defenders. Another thing that really stood out in her game, is how she looks at the rim to sell her shot, using shot fakes to get her defender off balance and create space.

Confidence is another player I got to see at last year's freshman showcase, and her game is steady growing. She was constantly cutting and finding ways to stay involved in the offense when she didn't have the ball in her hand. Plays with a lot of power and physicality, but also showed growth with a soft touch from behind the three-point line. And this ability to combine strength with perimeter shooting makes her difficult to match up with. She also uses that strength well on the boards, competing for rebounds and creating additional opportunities for her team.

It's already been a year and a half since I first saw Hunter (read evaluation here) and her progress has been second to none. Her strength and physicality set her apart when attacking the basket, driving directly into her defender's chest and absorbing contact without flailing or losing her balance. She also showed progression in her mid-range game, giving defenders another scoring option to account for beyond her ability to attack the rim.

Miyah plays with good patience and shows an understanding of how to use screens effectively to create advantages. Last year at the Freshman Showcase last year PGH Simmie Colson noted her ability to think the game (read evaluation here). She has shown improved confidence handling the ball, looking more comfortable creating off the dribble and making decisions with the ball in her hands. Does a nice job allowing the action to develop rather than rushing into her attack. Around the basket, she understands how to use the glass, finishing with a high release off the backboard to make difficult shots more manageable.
