Team 2 Overview from The Expo

The Expo brought together over 70 players from the Classes of 2027 and 2028 at Seminole Sports Academy for a four-hour showcase before the start of their high school seasons. The event gave upperclassmen from across Florida another opportunity to compete, be evaluated, and get in front of college coaches, media, and scouts.   College coaches led the instruction throughout the event before players put what they learned into action during 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 competition. With the high school season right around the corner, The Expo provided a competitive setting for players to sharpen their game, show how they impact winning in live situations, and work on adapting with players they had little familiarity with. Here's a look at Team 2:    Eadyn was one of the top guards I watched and did a great job seeing the floor and sharing the ball. She knocked down a corner 3 with confidence, applied pressure defensively, and created turnovers all day long. Eadyn made a nice pass ahead for an assist and attacked left for a strong finish with her left hand. She also played through contact for a few tough and-one finishes. I really enjoyed watching her play with pace on offense and compete just as hard on the defensive end.     Sofia did a good job putting the ball on the floor and creating opportunities for herself and her teammates. She drove the baseline and made a nice pass to the corner after getting a paint touch. Sofia also made multiple good cuts through the lane for buckets and showed clean moves and footwork in her midrange game. Her length was an asset defensively as she anticipated passes and jumped into passing lanes as a threat on both ends of the floor at The Expo.     Bri was one of the top players and teammates I watched at The Expo. She was active defensively with her hands and did a good job jumping passing lanes for steals or deflections. She showed good control and footwork when attacking on two feet and created an offensive rebound opportunity with a strong putback on one impressive series by her. Bri also showed versatility by grabbing a steal and pushing the ball up the floor herself. Her ability to make winning plays and affect her team with or without the ball was on full display.     Zoe knocked down a corner 3 with her feet set and showed a good shooting stroke with a clean rotation and release. She used her size and length well on the defensive glass and did a good job securing rebounds. Zoe also walled up defensively against bigger post players and made herself difficult to score over.     Kassie did a good job creating paint touches and kicking the ball out to her shooters. She grabbed an offensive rebound and brought the ball back out to reset the offense rather than forcing a wild shot. Kassie played under control, communicated with teammates, moved well without the ball, and consistently got back on defense.     Isabella knocked down a 3 and showed confidence in her shot throughout the event. She competed defensively by applying pressure to the ball and showed good handles to create space on offense. Isabella has a nice shooting stroke and was willing to let it fly.     Layla knocked down a corner 3 with confidence and did a good job creating spacing for her teammates. She moved well without the ball, relocated after making passes, and stayed active around the perimeter. Layla also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and get around her defender.     Tanisha shot the ball with confidence and played an unselfish game. She dug down in help defense to make plays on the ball and showed good hustle on both ends. Tanisha also did a good job cutting and moving without the ball while making sure to get back defensively with her speed.
