Next Up: 2029 Standouts Who Did Their Thing at the Expo

Everyone gets caught up in P4 offers, what offer does this kid or that kid have, and so forth. I truly believe in living in the present and being where your feet are. If you look at the landscape of this basketball arena, we have some talent that is really going to come to fruition this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I saw a lot from all the classes, but I really liked what I saw in some 29s. Now, I have already mentioned some who put on a show at the Expo, but I want to dive a little deeper. I love the thought of the next-man-up mentality. Seeing the next prospect do their thing makes me excited, as it brings optimistic thoughts on who may be the next to help their club compete for a title. We talk about water cooler conversations all the time, and these 29s are in contention to help push their clubs over the edge. Though the season is still a month or so out, you better believe these 29s will be ready. She was in attack mode, going at the opposition with both speed and power. She was finishing on the inside, and when her opponent sagged off of her, she shot well from 3. She was impactful on both ends, getting it done defensively as well. She was about a different type of action, and my guess is she is ready to explode this season on the hardwood. This shifty guard had defenders on skates as she got into her bag and went on attack mode. In 3v3 and 5v5 games, she shone as she not only put the ball in the hoop but also made great decisions, made solid passes, and defended well. She really piqued my interest as she got paint touches with ease and knew exactly what to do with the basketball when defenders collapsed on her. She's a finisher that just makes plays on both ends of the floor. Shoots it well, finishes in traffic; she puts the ball in the hoop at a consistent clip. What really stood out was her defensive ability.  She had a knack for being around the ball, anticipating where it was going, and being in the right spot. She was on the boards, got steals, and just competed at a high level. She picked her spots and let it loose, and the ball consistently found the bottom of the net. She battled on the defensive end, getting her fair share of boards, but on the offensive side of the ball, she always moved into space to receive passes and knocked down shots. She heads to Baylor, where she gives this electric team versatility and size. Versatile could describe her game, but it's so much more than that. She has all the tools to compete at a high level, and it was on display as she got after it. Defending, rebounding, getting steals, pushing the ball in transition, knocking down shots inside and out, making passes- the list goes on. She showcased what she was all about and is definitely a prospect to follow over the years as she continues to thrive.<br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
