An exciting prospect who can handle the rock. This shifty guard had defenders on skates as she got into her bag and went on attack mode. In 3v3 and 5v5 games, she shone as she not only put the ball in the hoop but also made great decisions, made solid passes, and defended well. She really piqued my interest as she got paint touches with ease and knew exactly what to do with the basketball when defenders collapsed on her. Impactful, a difference maker; look for her to shine this upcoming season.

Amiah’s ability to weave in and out of traffic with ease before throwing darts to her open teammates (she got them open by forcing defenders to help often) was quite impressive against a very high level of competition. Lewis was in total control with the basketball in her hands where she exuded poise and confidence. When left open and on the break, Lewis had no problem at all scoring herself. However, I personally value pass-first point guards very highly and she fits that bill to a T. Amiah was very unselfish and showed little emotion throughout the day, good or bad. It was a business trip for her and a very successful one in my eyes. Gardner-Webb was her first offer, but it certainly won’t be the last. I expect that list to be over double-digits this time next year.

Aggressive downhill threat who plays with poise with the ball in her hands. She can reach multiple levels to take her shot, distribute, and contribute on the defensive end. A heady floor general who sees the floor well and brings athleticism to the table. Look for her to come in and carve out a solid role for the SCHS ball club. Someone you need to keep your eyes on as she continues to grow into a solid prospect who will play at the next level.

Amiah may be small, but she makes up for it with creativity and toughness. She was fearless in traffic, throwing pinpoint passes and even battling for rebounds against bigger players. She displayed impressive scoring versatility as she scored on mid-range jumpers, finished at the rim, and even shot it well from behind the arc. Amiah’s confidence and willingness to compete stood out in every setting.
