2031 Combo Guards That Impressed During The TYBC Combine.

My evaluations of the combo guards at the TYBC Combine were based on what I observed during testing and live scrimmages. Testing provided a look at their speed, agility, and athleticism, while scrimmages showed how they applied those tools against other talented players. I paid close attention to ball handling, decision-making, scoring, pace, defensive effort, and the ability to create opportunities for teammates. Beyond the numbers, I looked at poise, competitiveness, communication, and how each guard responded under pressure. These evaluations reflect their performances at the combine and the individual qualities that stood out throughout the day. Here are some of the players that stood out to me Part 1.

[player_tooltip player_id='1209060' first='Liv' last='Sorenson'] caught my attention during the shooting drills, and by the time scrimmages began, she had established herself as a name to know in the 2031 class. The talented guard brings the versatility to play three to four positions when needed and finished first in multiple testing categories. Her combination of shooting, versatility, and standout testing results has me excited to follow her this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1214903' first='Ali' last='Pritzl'] continues to show why she has the potential to be one of the top players around. She finished in the top 10 in every testing category at the combine, and every time I watch her, she gives me something to be impressed by. Pritzl's versatility extends beyond the combo guard role—she can run an offense and defend all five positions. I'm excited to follow her and the DeForest Norskies this upcoming BDL season.

Unser's passion for the game was on full display, she finished in the top 15 in multiple testing categories. During scrimmages, her instincts stood out on both ends of the floor, turning deflections into fast-break opportunities and looking ahead after securing rebounds or loose balls. In the half court, Unser played with purpose, taking a thoughtful approach to her decisions whenever the ball was in her hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219584' first='Malia' last='Robinson'] showed plenty to like at the combine, handling the ball with poise and making sound decisions without forcing the action. Her confidence on defense stood out, as she willingly stepped up to challenge some of the top guards looking to score. Robinson is a name to watch in the coming years as the Madison product continues to develop within a strong La Follette program.
